My wife and I got a Cappucino cake last year for our wedding at the Hartford location and were very pleased with it. We decided we would order a smaller one every year for our anniversary closer to our home at the Plainville location. This was our first anniversary and were driving out of state so we ordered and picked up this small 7 inch cake which is a little steep at $25. That night, we took it out of the fridge and bit into mostly frosting and ricotta, hardly any cake, HARDLY ANY TASTE! We were very displeased as we were looking forward to having this cake with champagne while on our anniversary. So we figured mistakes happen, we will just call and resolve this. We were argued with that this is how this cake is made (not so, as the wedding cake tasted and looked completely different), and after much of the bakery defending their cake instead of using any type of customer service, they offered a credit. How is a credit a viable resolution when we dont even trust they will make any other pastry/dessert correctly and by how they treat the customer, why should we give them any other business. Great job! They just lost a lifelong customer. Due to how they treated us on the phone, we will never use them again. So tired of this absolutely horrible customer service. Really regret getting our wedding cake with them. They are very rude people (managers and counter staff at both locations)

Ordered cupcakes for my sisters tea party themed 30th. I gave them a tea cup that I wanted a small cupcake to fit into. I expressed I wanted mini cupcakes so they would fit in the tea cup and could be taken out, they told me how much mini cupcakes were. The day of I run in grab the boxes, give them my card and run out as I was running late. The cupcakes were huge and barely fit in the tea cups, what a mess trying to get them out afterwards to eat, the flowers on them were decent at best and when I looked at my statement they charged me double what I agreed to. When I called figuring they would rectify the situation, they argued with me saying I ordered regular sized cupcakes and that was the price they were and refused to give me some of my money back. Never Again.

On the day of my sons baptism, instead of the cake we asked for.. we were given something completely different! My wife went in and even drew the cross on paper went through all that only to get a plain square cake? Then only get a cheap $15 discount? Im sure the cake taste great as they make quality stuff... but something as important and a occasion such as a baptism, Im highly upset about this.

Yuck! Disgusting! Terrible! Awful! I can go on. Im from NYC this place has no shame selling and advertising as an Italian Pastry Shop, and they sell what I call wanna be imitation stale crap. Took a bite and spit it out, staff looks unhappy, they cant pronounce simple names Ricotta NOT ricatta. Whatever-dont waste your time and money.

Nothing is ever fresh. The place doesnt even smells like a bakery. Nothing is done at the place. The bread is not fresh and most of the pastries are no fresh. The only thing they have going for themselves is their chocolate ice cream.

I needed a cake for my sons birthday last minute due to another bakeries mistake. I called this place and within twenty minutes I was able to get a decorated cake. The cake was awesome and rhe help was great. They were a life saver..

Went there tonight to get some pastries the worst pastries Ive ever tried they were steal and to top it off so expensive not worth it on the other hand I tried Mangiaficos bakery and it was the best tasting pastry Ive ever tasted

Did they change owners? The last time I went, 2 of 3 pastries were stale. The rum cake was so soaked with rum it was wet and had an overbearing rum flavor. This is a big change from my past visits. I hope they correct this.

Its clean and nice, pastries and cookies are good, but the stupid numbering system is never used which makes it chaotic when busy, the girls seem nice but are not overly helpful, and the prices are borderline outrageous.

All show and no soul. Selling ascetically pleasing pastry and cake at a premium. Nothing there has ever wowed me, but if you want a tray of cookies that looks beautifully arranged this is the place for you.

My wife has found her cannoli heaven! Its more than they make it fresh when you order, its the taste and texture. I love the macaroons. This place makes art you can eat! I highly recommend this bakery.

Wait was over 1-1/2 hours, just to get pre-wrapped cookies! They had no one available to just ring you out. People who had pre-ordered had to wait behind everyone else. Didnt wait. Wont go back again!
