The Silver Star Restaurant is one of my favorites. A family owned and operated silver diner in Norwalk, The Silver Star is open Sunday through Thursday 6 AM to 2 AM weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends. You can order anything you want any time of day from this popular restaurant with its extensive menu of classics as well as innovative dishes prepared to perfection. Enjoy your coffee with one or two of their delicious desserts prepared daily of the freshest ingredients. Youll love the special attention you feel as one of their customers in this casual roadside restaurant. From comfortable booths to tables large enough for families the Silver Streak has your dining pleasure in mind. Outstanding service with delicious fresh food served in a convenient location open long hours make this restaurant one of a kind.

We stopped here after looking at google maps and seeing the 3 other reviews and we cant believe others havent rushed back here to put a review on this place because it has to be one of the best diners we have been to in a long time. The service was amazing, the staff were really nice and really friendly to our little ones and the food was just perfect - my daughter loved the french toast sticks they had and the eggs my husband ordered were perfect, everything as requested and I had the cheese blitz with strawberries and found them to be out of this world! Super clean and all the photos up on the walls of celebrities and the desserts out for the kids to look at really made this a place we will definately hit again when we are in the area - the owners definately take pride in their place and it shows!!!!

First time experience walked in with my fiancé host or whoever handed us the menus and said " sit youself" (basically) Server was very bad had 2 different servers. Forgot 2 things while being here. No attention paid to our table. Worst dinner Ive ever been to. People around us walked in and basically inspected the place reasuring if they still want to sit and eat. People behind us asked for their food to go and basically told them to put their own food to go. Very bad hated my time here.

Silver Star is hands down the best diner around Fairfield County! I try to stop in at least once or twice a week, and each time I do, the food and hospitality never ceases to amaze me. I love this place, it is truly a landmark in the city of Norwalk. Good eats off the menu: all of their breakfast selections (which hint hint is served all day), their fresh homemade desserts, and I particularly love the charleston wrap! Thanks silver star for making me a happy camper ~!!!!

Yes I was in the Restaurant and the food was not very good and I would have to say that the food was lousy and the waitress didnt bring me my water when I was asked if I wanted a glass of water so at this time I cant give it a good ratings but I will say that many years ago the food was not lousy and the waitress were very Sharp and the restaurant was always very busy but now its a lousy place for breakfast and lunch and dinner and I cant give it a good ratings

Aside from prices being just a smidgen higher than most other diners in the area, the food is great. Ive been going here for over a decade. The little game area entrance is quirky and fun if you have pocket change and are going in with kids. Burgers are sizeable and always delicious and their slaw is some sort of tangy mustard slaw?? I have no idea exactly but its so, so good. Cant go wrong with much of their menu.

stopped in around 8pm easter sunday night after crawling down 95 for 2 hours, needing a break and some diner food. true, it is easter - but the place was mostly empty. waited 12 minutes and no one came up to our table (except for the water lady when we first sat down). just got up and left and no one said a thing. could have really gone for a wrap or something too.... oh well.

The Silver Star is a great place to grab a quick meal when you are undergoing surgery and have lost your sense of taste. The food at this restaurant is no only overpriced, but fairly innocuous. Theres nothing risky about bland food and its certainly a safe bet. Would recommend for families struggling with medical bills and young people on their third dates.

Today was my first visit at the Silver Star Diner. These folks are very friendly, the bathroom was immaculate (that matters!) and the food was delicious. I ordered the Grecian Omlette. Just a little bit of dill make it mouth wateringly good. Plus, they serve quality coffee, not in little cups, but in mugs. Im so glad I found this place. Big thumbs up!

Im a regular here and prefer it over some of the other diners on US-1 / Connecticut Ave. Prices are slightly higher than your typical diner, but they have great service and the breakfast menu offers a good variety to choose from. Omelettes are generous and definately try the Elenies Omelette or Uncle Chubbas Omelette. The desserts are great too.

Ive been here a couple times. The workers arent very nice most of the time but the food makes up for it. Ive had the pancakes as well as the meat lovers skillet, which had eggs, home fries and a few different meats. It was a bit salty because of all the meat but it was delicious and almost perfect. I really enjoyed it.

Im not sure--when the host said, "my grandma will be right over," was he being a real douchebag or an ironically sincere young man? This diners a little pricy, but it was a good golden arch alternative on our road trip. The spanikopita was way greasy, but the turkey on rye with russian dressing turned out as expected.

I wish this was a joke....placed an order for two sandwiches, waited the 15 minute allotted time. Got there, complete confusion, "somehow" the order was never entered. Im going 1/5 based on that and the fact Ive been here before. Food is sub-par at best, this foible puts them at f-up status.

Not the best. The waffles were cold and dried out. Asked for wheat toast with my breakfast and the waitress forgot them when the meal was served. The quality has begun to suffer. This is my last time eating here. Too bad this used to be the best place for all day breakfast.

Lunch at the counter with staff...especially the manager or owner practically yelling makes it a non-relaxing eating experience. Even as I walked out he is leaning into the waitresses and yelling like prison guard. Miserable.

This is a very friendly restaurant. The facilities are clean, the floors are clean, the staff is friendly. The food is excellent, everything is fresh and the owner is a great guy that comes around talking to everyone.

Very friendly, attentive staff. The food was pretty good, too. I know its supposed to look like an old school diner, but some parts look run down. Also, the noise from the party room carried over into the main restaurant.

This diner is extremely over priced. Two coffees and two bacon egg and cheese for just under $30! Yeah, I will never go back. Go 3 minutes down the road to post rd diner for better food and waaaaay better prices.
