Had great experiences up until our last one. We waited an hour to get our check, after literally getting infront of our waiter to ask him for it. We didnt even get the chance to tell him we needed it broken down in to four separate checks because there was four couples. While waiting for him to bring the one check over we already started itemizing the checks for each couple so it would be easier for him. Even though it wasnt busy, because after waiting for an hour we just wanted to get out of there. The waiter came over with the check and threw it on the table and ran off. My mom followed behind him explaining how we needed it broken down, and the waiter replied "Im busy". Being busy isnt standing behind the bar talking to the girls working. The manager came over and my mom went over the check with her and she hand wrote the check, then went over to the computer to type it up. When she came back it was still wrong, even after my mom standing next to her going over it and telling who had what. After waiting longer for her to fix that she came back with the right checks and we paid and left. Now a couple days later my mom checks her bank account and the restaurant charged her the wrong amount. How could this happen when she signed a receipt with the amount she owed on it. Unbelievable. And dont tell me it was that busy or you dont have time to break down check for people because we had other family there with us that night at the table next to us and the same waiter we had had no problem breaking their check down for each couple there. The fact that the owner was not apologetic to my mom when refunding her the money they took from her without her authorizing is shocking. This is your establishment and your staffs screw up and you had ever excuse under the sun as to why this situation happened. It never should have. This is why staff should be trained properly, instead of hanging out behind the bar during their shifts talking to the bartenders or on their phones in plain sight of everyone. Its sad we had this bad of an experience because the food is great, but the staff and owner need to step their game up when situations like this happen and not brush it off and act like the customers concerns dont matter.

WHEN I WALKED IN I WAS LOOKED AT BY THE BARTENDER TWICE SHE HELPED A PERSON THAT WALKED IN AFTER ME IGNORED ME.I STOOD THERE FOR 6 MIN. THATS A LONG TIME WHEN THE BAR IS DEAD.SHE WAS TO BUSY CHATTING WITH HER FRIEND AT THE END OF THE BAR WENT OUTSIDE CALLED IN AN ORDER OF BONLESS WINGS. WENT BACK IN IGNORED AGAIN. I SAT THERE WATCHING AND LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE THAT SHE WAS CHATTING WITH MAKE FUN OF THE OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE BAR.MIND YOU THERE ONLY LIKE 12 PEOPLE IN THE PLACE.. THEN MY ORDER IS HANDED TO ME TOTAL IS $9.52 I HAND HER A $20 I GET BACK $8.48 I ASK FOR RECEIPT. I GET ROLLING EYES I WALK OUT RELIZE THE CHANGE IS WRONG I WALK BACK IN SHES ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BAR CHATTING AWAY AGAIN. I TELL HER I GAVE YOU A $20 I PUT THE CHANGE SHE GAVE ME ON THE BAR. SHE RUDLEY SAYS THESE THINGS HAPPEN. SHE THEN PULLS THE YOU DONT HAVE TO YELL CARD. I SAID GIVE ME MY CHANGE PLEASE. I GO HOME OPEN THE CONTAINER THIS IS WHAT I GET. IVE ATE THERE DURING THE DAY AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS FINE BUT THIS WAS UN CALLED FOR. NEVER AGAIN. LEARN HOW TO COOK HONEY HOT FLAVOR! P.S. I DIDNT ORDER A BURNT FRY WITH MY FOOD!

Monday is a nice mellow night to go to 66 Church. We had a table of five in front of the bar area and the bartender waited on our table. She was friendly and always there when we needed her. She took our drink orders and allowed us to take our time to look over the menu. My wife and I have been there many times but for my son and his friend, it was their second visit so they had a few questions while deciding what they would have to eat. After discussing a few things with the bartender, they both ordered the Philly Steak sliders. Shaved steak with grilled onions and peppers and jalapeno cheese. My wife loves the Giant Pretzel served with a honey mustard dipping sauce and a jalapeno cheddar sauce. My sister-in-law ordered a Cesar Salad with grilled chicken. and I had a french onion soup and the Carne Asada Tacos.Two nice sized tacos filled with marinated grilled flank steak, guacamole, arugula, pico de gallo, and shredded cheddar cheese. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and the great service. 66 Church is a great place and we look forward to going to the sister restaurant, 75 Center when it opens.

My family and I went for dinner on Monday Oct 17th around 6pm. We had great service. the presentation of a pretzel was perfect! The atmosphere with all the wood was cozy. I enjoyed the bartenders and wait staff knowledge of items on the menu and attentiveness. I went up to the bar for a question about the 66 Sips on your menu, and the bartender answered every question thoroughly. The only thing that was disturbing was a very loud rude man at the bar area when I went up there yelling at the bartender, some customers need to control their anger, and have patience. It was not fair to her while she was trying to tend to other customers needs as well as his while he was throwing a tantrum. She calmly handled it and asked him to lower his voice but he wanted an argument you could tell. I wanted to make sure I made note of the incident, and amazing service in case something went wrong. But overall GREAT, cant wait to come back and try tacos one Tuesday!

Waited 45 minutes to be seated cause we waited for a high chair once seat they apologized and said their two high chairs were in use then waited an hour for our food. Our food still wasnt ready so asked for it to go. The bill came paid it and tipped 20 percent. Still no food. Told the waitress going to go take the 2 kids to the bathroom came back and our table was clean and had new guests in our seats. Proceeded to wait another 15 minutes standing at the bar for our food. They offered to give us our food minus the mac and cheese that we were waiting for so we can leave. Waited for it cause thats all my 4 year old wanted. Horrible customer service and horrible place to take children. Understand when its busy patients is a most but when you mess up multiple times maybe you should try and rectify or comp a customer who use to spend 100s there but now will never go back ever.

Good balance of new selections and regular events and specials make this an anchor of a quality business in the Naugatuck Valley. 66 Church has become the social bar of choice for my kickball league and is now the official seasonal sponsor repeatedly. We are thrilled to have the back patio for a change of venue from inside. Choosing from 3 bars allows you to not have a long wait from any of their staff. The kitchen is also darn quick for having such a hoppin night of a packed house. It might be a bit loud for a soft conversation late date night, but heading in on Saturday or Sunday for bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys is a good time. Way to go Johnny & your crew. You are a beacon of hope for downtown Naugatuck businesses.
