In term of authenticity, no other deli Ive been to is more truly Italian. Dont go here expecting the sort of stream lined pace of a deli chain, they are in their 99th year of methods which are tried and true. Foreign (delicious) Italian labeled imports can be translated by one of the many kind faces working there. Im currently eating a roast beef sandwich reminiscing of espresso, fresh sausage egg and cheese made with sliced sausage logs (not patties), and so happy to know about apricot nectar. Dont go here in a rush, because the cashier might need a minute to pull the cookies out of the oven, and if you are in a hurry youll miss them.

The store as to its physical size is: long and narrow and you just might bump into someone but, that is part of its charm and. it has been here, forever. It also, has the best meat, in town, to say nothing of its grinders (I really enjoy their RB grinder). The staff are most helpful and very friendly.

Discovered this jewel while visiting family in CT. The best meatball sub since I left NY for MA 35 yrs ago... Its been so long, Im sure we didnt call them subs then (I think we called them wedges - Im sure they werent grinders!!) Anyway, great meatballs, great bread - have it toasted w/ cheese... Yum!

Always love going to Public Market for their great selection of meats and groceries. Their desserts are out of this world too, the Oreo cheesecake is my favorite! The people that run the store are all so friendly and helpful too.

Local fixture, been open for generations. Great subs and other hot/cold meals to go. Lots of Italian influence! They have many products from italy for sale such as candies and coffee/espresso makers. Staff is always friendly.
