I had dinner at Bambou last week. I got sick from the food. I called repeatedly to the restaurant to speak to the owner to tell her she may have bad food and to be careful. I spoke with her for the first time after a staff member kept telling me there was noone to speak with during operating hours. I called back later and was told the same thing, however, out of if from the heavens, half a minute later, she showed up. I explained my situation, while I could tell she was partially listening, and was told she would credit my bill, as any proper restaurant would do. She never did. I called over and over again, left messages, no call back. She was also very snippy and rude on the phone, as if she felt she, as an owner, was better than the guest. She even went so far as to ask me for a Doctors note....what grade is this (ha!). Anyone who works in the business, as I have for many years, knows that is not the way to handle patrons. Long story short, do not go to Bambou. The food made me sick and the owner is extremely rude and does not deserve to have a restaurant if she continues to treat people in that manner.

I liked the location, the scallion pancake and tuna sashimi were both delicious, and my friend devoured her rolls. Very good service in a simple and casual atmosphere. (For some reason, owners and staff of many Asian restaurants in Fairfield County can be quite rude, I do not understand why. This restaurant staff was pleasant, but it was my first visit, and from past experiences, Im hopeful but also skeptical.)

Good food, excellent service, nice decor, good value. My sushi was excellent but one of the tuna rolls was not super fresh, not the bright pink you look for. Everything else was great.

Excellent specialty rolls, particularly the Greenwich and Tropical Roll. Here on business from Florida and both quality and price were exceptional! They carry top shelf liquor too!!!

Service took over an hour. Sushi was overpriced, for $8 you get 6 tiny rolls. Go if youre rich.
