For the last several years my family has enjoyed Easter at the Bear and Grill Buffet. The food is average but the location was convenient for the family. This year I knew I was in trouble when we pulled into the parking lot and the there was a line at the door. Apparently they went from standard reservations to a 3 seating format 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30. Our reservation was for the 12:30 seating. We had to wait in line at the door for 30 minutes to get our table. Once seated the line for the buffet was very long. The design of this restaurant does not lend itself for 300 people to try and eat at once. We took the advice of our host and ordered drinks and waited 15-20 minutes for the line to dissipate, still long but manageable. Bad move, by the time we got to the buffet the food was gone. I was able to secure a Eggs Benedict only on further inspection realize it was dried out with buffet burn and inedible. The buffet was never replenished for the remainder of the seating. We left disappointed and hungry and with a few less dollars in our pocket. My advice is stay away from this place it is not worth it. On the way out the door was a big Mothers Day buffet advertisement. I laughed feeling bad for those poor Mothers.

I had been a fan and a frequent Diner at bear and grill for a number of years however after a string of bad experiences I decided to not go anymore. Recently though I was in the need of a quick meal and stopped there with my girlfriend for dinner. We got right in and the food and service had improved dramatically since the last time I had been there. My burger was perfect and the spinach artichoke dip was one of the best Ive ever had. Just a shame they dont have the boylans Birch Beer anymore. Still only given 4 out of 5 stars because Im not sure if my experience was a one-time thing or if bear and Grill has indeed stepped their game up. Another experience is necessary to determine whether or not I increase to 5 stars. I look forward to hopefully increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Very nice place! A+ for the portion sizes that will have you taking some home. The cornbread is so good too. The only issue I had was the light in the booths in the back take away from the ceiling lights that resemble the sky. But none the less will return.

Good American food from BBQ ribs to chicken to pasta and chicken pot pies. Something for everyone. It has a western themed motif, fireplace, log cabin style interioe. A casual dining experience. There is also a full bar you can sit at for a meal and drinks.

Excellent place to eat. The food is delicious without being over priced like some of the places in Fairfield. The ambiance is really cool too. Make sure you try the Buffalo burger or the filet mignon tacos!

Very nice place. Especially enjoy their Tuesday Night Trivia contest, which they do on a weekly basis and have been running for at least several years now. Check it out. Lots of fun.
