Place was empty, but we had to wait, while the staff finish making there own expresso before we could order--they would not even look at use. Even when we said can we order? I order edcoffee, my friend ordered expresso. Took almost 15 minutes after we ordered to the coffees. We were just trying to have a quick 10 minute meeting. Coffee was good but not hot (almost cold). Friend loved the express but said he would not want that everyday. Price was outrages for $3.50 for a cold cup of coffee with really poor service. Bottom line I would not come back. Stay with the Sugar Bowl, Dunkin Donuts or Star Bucks -- all close.

Could not ask for a better cup of coffee. All the coffee here is made to order (with the exception of the not-so-neat due to its exceptionally long steep time) so a small wait is expected, but well worth it. The environment here is always great, with big windows, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I go to Espresso Neat at least several times a week, and have never encountered any rudeness from any of the staff here. The free wifi doesnt hurt either. This is hands-down my favorite coffee shop.

Great atmosphere! Excellent espresso, cappuccinos and gourmet coffees. Best place in Darien and arguably the best in the Stamford area. Every cup is hand made (except large ready-made coffee pot during the morning rush hours) which means that sometimes the service is slow but the coffee and atmosphere is always great. It is expensive for a simple cup of coffee because its hand-made gourmet coffee. If you want a cheap, simple cup than youre best served at Starbucks, Panera, etc.

Despite feeling pressure to tip, slow service, and somewhat varied levels of friendliness amongst servers coffee aficionados will not be disappointed in Espresso Neat’s lattes and coffee selection. Quality is comparable to Blue Bottle Coffee. Best to make sure coffee is hot and avoid the over priced pre-made food, better food choices and prices can be found down the street at the Sugar Bowl or Uncles Deli.

Great coffee and great service. There arent many cafes in the region offering a product of this caliber. If you care about how your coffee tastes and where it came from, this is a spot you should check out. Staff is friendly and very skilled. Interior is clean and attractive. My favorite coffee place around Greenwich area! I had high hopes for the one opening in Greenwich, unfortunately the only similarity between the two of them it is the coffee itself. I still have to drive to Darien when I need a perfect caffeine fix!

Great coffee. Clean, bright indoor space with outlets and WiFi available. Outdoor seating shared with other businesses. But the AC was on way too high! I was uncomfortable in a sweatshirt.

The way espresso / cappuccino / lattes / etc., should be done. Chill spot with a nice quiet patio. Right near the train station if your a commuter. The chai is also great.

Really nice people. We were getting our dog some water in the fountain outside when the guy ran out and said they throw a lot of bleach in it. Our doggie is saved.
