This is my first time coming to this restaurant. Lunchtime may not be the best time to visit this restaurant if youre on a schedule. Also if you have children, be prepared to have slow service. Im not comparing this place to any other restaurant nor any service provided by other restaurants. The food tasted very good. Exceptional actually. But the service was absolutely horrible. We had no water refills, we waited for 20 minutes to even be acknowledged at our table, on top of waiting for our food for another 30 min. I then asked for more sides refills before we finished our meals and didnt even get the refills. When we got the check, we still hadnt received our refills. Kindly had to remind them about the refills. Maybe it was because we had children, maybe it was because I was not in a military uniform like everyone else in the restaurant, maybe its because the color of my skin. Whatever the reason I greatly do not recommend coming here. I hope they realize that customer service is of utmost importance. And this is not the way to serve customers.

The food was overall pretty good, but has literally the most ridiculously bad service I have ever experienced at a restaurant ever. Ordered the kimchijigae and teokboki. The teokboki tasted terrible - super watery, not sweet at all, not even a little spicy, and for some reason they but a crapton of sesame oil in it (???). I asked if we could take back the teokboki and just order another kimchijigae for my wife instead - she says yes we just have to pay the difference because it costs more. Then the bill comes and the waitress puts both the kimchijigaues AND teokboki on the bill, despite ALREADY AGREEING beforehand we would be paying the difference. And she WOULDNT TAKE IT OFF, despite not only taking the dish away from us but already agreeing to make us just pay for 2 kimchijigaes. The waitress literally has no shame. Food was really good despite the teokboki, but wont ever come back due to the ridiculously bad service. What a piss poor excuse for a waitress.

I would honestly give this place no stars if there was even the option. Its very sad that we got here around 11:50am-12 and left this place at 2:15pm! Food just took ridiculously long! We didnt get drink refills Nor did we get refills on our side dishes. We also noticed that ALL the tables in the restaurant has turned and we were still there. What thrills me is that this restaurant is known for the bad service and they dont care about how customers feel. They dont address the situation. Military personnel are treated fairly, but then again, each time we go in, we go unnoticed. Its very sad and upsetting.

Excellent food, and you definitely get a lot of food for the cost! Dinners come with beef radish soup, steamed rice and all the little cups of vegetables, kimchi and potato pancakes. Why I gave it a four star rating instead of five is because the tables are always dirty. They obviously wipe them down, but there is a nasty film on them that can only be removed with vigorous wiping using cleaner or an antibacterial wipe. I always bring my own wipes to clean the table. But, it makes me wonder how clean the dishes are as well.

Asked for spicy pork, old lady gave me Beef, which I am allergic to, tried a few pieces after they told me it was pork and then figured it out and returned the order. The small bit of beef I ate gave me food poisoning also induced my pancreatitis (confirmed by a doctor) which is more painful than giving birth and probably the same pain as getting stabbed in the upper chest multiple times. The food tasted good but I am probably going to sue them for almost killing me. PS. I dont smoke or drink or take medications.

I dont understand why this restaurant is getting such good reviews. The tables have holes in them, there is mildew and chewing gum on the wood floor, the chairs are falling apart, the ceiling is covered with grease. The tables werent clean either, which forced us to find a relatively clean one. Yuck! The food might be authentic but I dont know how Koreans survive eating that stuff; no wonder they are skinny. One star for the rice and the nice waitress. My advice, go find a Thai restaurant.

I read the reviews prior to coming here, so the wait time before ordering drinks and food is true! However, the staff was polite and the food was great!!! Something very strange did happen while we were there. One of the waitresses took a basket of lettuce off of a dirty table and took it in the back. She didnt take anything but that????? To us we feel like they might reuse their lettuce, but we can not prove this. Just mentioning it because it was weird.

Everytime i made a visit to this restaurant, i was always able to fill my stomach completly for a reasonable amount. One of the reasons why I go there a lot is because whatever I order, it always comes with eight different side dishes. And a hot bowl of rice. Also i think the waitresses give enough attention to all costumers. In a statement to wrap this up, I would suggest everyone to try a delicious meal at this restaurant.

I came here for lunch and the place was very busy. I waited a while before my orders were taken and before they were served but the servers were nice and I understood they were busy. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, and the beef soup with some clear noodles. They served a lot of appetizer type food before my order came so I ended up with a lot of food. Everything was tasty! The beef soup especially was the winner :-)

Came here for both lunch and dinner on the same day. Loved all the dishes we had - Minchin pancake, bulgogi, fried dumplings, and beef soup. The portion size of some appetizers like fried dumplings and pancakes is large enough to equal that of an entree. Pre-meal little dishes are different for lunch and dinner except kimchi and pickled raddish. Waitresses were very friendly.

The service was gracious. The clientele was largely Korean. My husband said it was like the food he had when he lived in Korea. I agreed! I ate all of mine--bulgogi and japchae. He had a spicy pork plate which was delcious. The banchan was bottomless and their kimchis were excellent. I reviewed this restaurant and dont see it, so I apologize if this is a repeat.

I have been going to Tong-Tong once a week for about 3 months now. I have always been treated well, with quick service and excellent food. It is the closest experience to a real Korean restaurant experience I have had outside of Korea. The pricing is fair as well, and the portions are generous. I highly recommend experiencing this restaurant.
