The food is always great here, and so are the staff members BUT the cashier Fabian has an terrible attitude. Not sure why, but he acts as if customers go here for free food, or as if hes paying for it. My friend and I had the worst experience ever, he does not want to accommodate anyone he thinks he knows best, we spoke to his manager Hector, swore that he would speak to him at the end of the shift, but for some odd reason I did not believe one word he said, the manager apologized a million times but he acts just like his cashier, the restaurant should really invest in people who enjoy their jobs, not people who are there to correct you and go against what you would like to order. Its not that he was having a bad day, he always acts like a jerk. I feel bad for the employees that have to work 8 miserable hours with people like him. WORST CASHIER EVER!

Really Authentic Mexican Food and Tasty - Tried this restaurant before in Santa Barbara this is their newest location. Like their other locations it is very busy on weekends in this visit they ran out of one drink mix (oh yeah FULL bar - handcrafted cocktails). Salsa bar so you can try all you want it is self serve. The steak and handmade corn tortillas make up one of the best asada tacos. Small Happy Hour menu even on weekends - even on alcohol not just food. Walk in and order at the register counter they will bring the food and drinks to the table. The quality of the food is on par with more expensive full service restaurants. Didnt get all stars because it can be challenging to find seating since is all self seating and ordering at the register counter then minutes later they let us know they have run out of drink mixture.

The food is good but it did not make up for the line to get in. With this kind of prices, you should not have to wait in line to order. We had to wait for a table but it was not clean. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting for our food, and it finally got cleaned by the middle of our meal. They ran out of something in the salsa bar. I mentioned it to them, and they said that they would be right back with it. I waited and waited. It never came. I went back and ate my meal without it. When we left, I looked over and the salsa bar was the same - still missing the item I asked them to re-stock. Probably not going back. Not worth it.

I highly recommend Los Agaves for fresh, authentic Mexican food in a lively atmosphere. Taco Tuesday is crazy good and crazy busy, and their freshly made tortillas are terrific! Their Cadillac Margaritas are STRONG and delicious---and made with fresh lime juice instead of sweet & sour. Order at the register, then find a place to sit inside or outside on their lovely patio. Or sit at the bar and order everything there. Either way, chips and a trio of salsa will be delivered to you as you wait for your meal.

I came here on a Tuesday so I had to get tacos. I went with three soft tacos and a soda. Half way into my second taco I realized that I should have gone with two tacos like my friend did. I was thinking hey its a good price so I might as well get three because from my experiences two is never enough, but it would have been here at Los Agaves. Each taco comes with a single tortilla and a hold lot of meat, nothing on top. I would definitely come here again if I was in the area.

The only things missing for this restaurant to be a five star restaurant is a full bar and pretentious service because the food is mind-blowingly amazing, only Mexican restaurant in Southern California that serves the food you would eat in a good Mexican restaurant in Mexico. So in spite of the amazing food it does not qualify for a five star restaurant since there are no sommelier, no maître D, no waiters and the prices are very low but I can definitely call it gourmet Mexican

Consistently delicious fresh Mexican food. Great salsa bar. My favorites are the nachos with steak, tostada salad, and their land & sea molcajete. Tortillas are made fresh in-house. Youll see Shawn behind the bar squeezing fresh limes. You cant go wrong here - the drinks and food are great. One thing to note is that it gets extremely busy during lunch.

The line situation is bullshit but, it is worth it for the food. The food is damn amazing. The crispy tacos are the best in Conejo, Simi, or San Fernando Valleys. They also have home made HORCHATA!!! But, damn, the way the ordering process and counter is designed is complete bullshit.

Love the food! I keep coming back because the food is delicious. It seems too expensive for Mexican food though. I really hate trying to find a menu, and being in everyones way waiting to order at the counter. There are too few waiters. The experience is generally chaotic.

A great place to go in the Mission for a burrito... although yes you have many choices. No frills, cash only, no rice burrito with a generous helping of your protein of choice (love carne asada), beans, and you can opt for more add ons.

I love this place. They get crazy busy on taco Tuesdays since it seems like the entire city of westlake and Agoura is dining there. The bartenders are super nice and make great drinks if youre lucky to find an empty seat at the bar.

This has become a regular haunt for us - we are working our way through the menu. The food is excellent, an upscale Mexican menu at reasonable prices and the margaritas use fresh ingredients, including the skinny but strong version.

Great food. A not so hidden gem of a restaurant. Expect a short wait for a table, and ordering at the bar is a drag, but the food is worth it once you have settled in and picked up your salsa in too small of cups.

Excellent Mexican food for an above average price and much above average taste. Their options are a welcome change from traditional Mexican restaurants, and the crowds are always interesting to observe.

Fairly average Mexican restaurant. Its more of a corporate place, if youre looking for a mom n pop place, this isnt it. But if youre more I to mainstream options, its a pretty good place.

Simply put, this has to be the best Mexican Cuisine in all of the State of California. It doesnt get any better when it comes to fresh ingredients home-cooked seasoned food. Watch out!

I have been to many places to eat around the area while out here on business and this is one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. Amazing food in a quick and casual setting.

Honestly the best Mexican food Ive possibly ever had. Absolutely delicious meals, even the rice and beans are the best. You seriously just have to try this place.

Food is awesome, but every time I go they forget someone’s food, so we eat while one person has nothing. If they can get the orders correct I would eat here

Good food, great drinks and good pricing. One down fall is its an order and sit restaurant and if you go during busy times it can be hard to find a table.
