I visited this place with my family last night. Its a nice restaurant with a bar. The restaurant was very clean but it wasnt that crowded. First thing, I noticed is that they use brown paper for their table cloth. I thought that was very tacky for a restaurant that looked nice. They had a good selection of typical Chinese food served at other restaurants but were very over priced. You would think for the price they charged for their entrees you would get a large portion of food but its a typical portion that they serve at every Chinese restaurant. The service was great and the food was good. We ordered 3 entrees and we ended up spending up to $62. With tip, our bill came out to $72 which is too much for Chinese food. I would have rather spent that money eating sushi instead. I would probably not eat there again due to the outrageous prices on their entrees.

Our friends were craving for Chinese food and we decided to go the the New Moon. The restaurant is in a great location, easy parking and beautiful building. The receptionist greeted us and seated us immediately and were very gracious and friendly. We ordered their famous Chicken Salad and sizzling rice soup to start, they were both delicious! The main courses were minced chicken with lettuce cup, shelbys sweet and spicy chicken, shrimp w candied walnuts, braised string beans and Cantonese style steamed fish. All of us were commenting on how fresh and tasty every dish was, it truly was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. I highly recommend trying New Moon, the atmosphere is beautiful, service impeccable and food divine!

good food for right price. food is actually better than any other chinese restaurant around town. but if you want to take left over home, they will thrown most of them and pack whatever can fit in their small box. i have been there for a few times, and every time i cant finish my meal they offer to pack it for you and then just put whatever fits in the box. first time i was just suspicious but next few times i confirmed it. i dont know why they do that. try to each as much as you can while sitting at the table so that rest will fit in the box. also it is very short stuffed, so we had to wait at the entrance for 10 mins before a hostess showed up and seated us. the only good thing is food, the soups are good as well as the entrees.

I love this place, its got a Chinese fusion food approach to their menu without weird food. It is great, very healthy plates, good size servings, it has a bar with TV, seating is very good with large parties easily accommodated, can come here with friends and sit in a separate area, service is also very good. It is located in a small mall, adequate parking, but may have to park a little bit away as the other shops in the mall have a ton of guests, too. Not too noisy either. The pricing is fair, not cheap but not prohibitively expensive either. It has been here awhile, so its got something going for it.

Have passed by this place a few times and the name caught me. So we decided to try the place out. We ordered some of our Chinese favorites like the sizzling soup, kung pow chicken, mandolin beef, cho men. They where all great! The soup was very hardy, the noodles where a different texture than we are used to but still delicious, the chicken spicy and the beef flavorful. It was all great and give it an high recommed. Not to mention the low light atmosphere and polite wait staff!

I have the crispy orange beef ,Insanely delicious! Plus chicken Fried rice Not very good No real flavor I dont think chef even added salt. We left 90% of it on the plate. when I asked for doggie bag waiter took our place and returned with a paper sack. It was until I got home I realized waiter put it in a small box, leaving majority back at the restaurant I was going to pick out chicken give it to my dogs. Ill definitely go back joy something else.

Super busy during dinner time, but no wait during lunch time on a weekday. Craving some good thick hand pulled noodles and they delivered! Got the spicy cumin lamb noodles but requested super mild, which they were able accommodate so I appreciate that! Delicious, chewy noodles and perfectly seasoned. My friend got the biang noodles and they were tomato flavored, I tried a bite and it was good too.

The worst experience Ive ever had at a restaurant if you can call it that. They post a closing time if 10 pm on saturdays yet we were turn away at 9:25 when we came in not to mention the hostess was very rude to us. Its no wonder every time we drive by its always so empty. Worst first experience ever. I will never go back!

Very disappointed. I picked to come here with friends recently, because I havent been in a while. The restaurant felt unwelcome, the walls were dirty. The service was really bad, and the food was not as good as it was. I will not be going back unfortunately. I gave it two stars, because the wonton chips are still amazing.

First time at new moon. Great food. Courteous staff. Prompt service. Never had an empty glass. Shannon, our server was pleasant and professional. She engaged my kids and they too, enjoyed thier meals. Also they set up kids with chop sticks. Looking for enjoyable atmosphere? Check out New Moon.

Excellent family owned restaurant. Food and service is superb. Many homemade pastas as well as desserts. My personal favorite is the risotto. Must try the panna cota. This restaurant could easily be on Ventura Blvd in Sherman oaks and would still be one if the cities top eateries.

This was my first time eating here and wow was I surprised. Each of the dishes we had were really outstanding. Everything came fast and was served piping hot it was really delicious. Id definitely recommend it and I will be back again when Im in the area.

We had eleven people and ordered six different entrees which was more than enough. They have such a wide variety of dishes, all with high quality ingredients and with taste that is over the moon. This is our "go to" Chinese restaurant any time of the year.

This food is the best chinese food weve had in the SCV. I highly recommend the steamed sole...it was so tender, and the sauce was so tasty. The service was VERY prompt, and attentive to our kids. We cant wait to go back again!

Got take out here... chloes shrimp, shelbys beef and two orders of bbq pork fried rice... $57!!! Food was okay, sure as heck not worth twice the price of what the same thing would cost elsewhere! Will not be going there again!

Some dishes were very good and others just ok. Service is not good and employees were eating in the dining room(including ou waitress) while we waited for our order. Also noted emplyees drinking in the kitchen

The Chinese chicken salad is outstanding. I have been eating it for 40 years. The egg rolls are also outstanding. All the other food is really good as well. Highly recommend this restuarant.
