My family and I went here for my brothers birthday. There were six of us, including my two year old daughter. They put us at a table and gave us five menus, place settings, and plates; as if my daughter wasnt counted as a person even though we had asked for a table for six. She was never given a kids menu. I had to ask for extra silverware and a plate for her. We got our food a long while after ordering, even though we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. My brother asked what had happened to the appetizers we had ordered and the waiter looked confused until he told him what we had ordered, then said hed get them right away. That took at least 15 minutes. He never came back to check on us after delivering the late appetizers. When he finally brought the bill he said he had taken off $15 because of the late appetizers. I gave him my credit card and a gift certificate that I had had for a few years. I had never used it because the service was so bad the last time I had been there, but my brother requested to go there for his birthday. The waiter said that they didnt use that type of gift certificate any longer, like he wasnt going to take it. I asked if he was refusing to take it and he said no, but then kept trying to explain that this wasnt one of theirs because they have card gift certificates now. I told him it was from a long time ago, the date was written on it. He said hed have to clear it with the owner. He kept us waiting another 20 minutes and then he came back with the adjusted bill. I told him he already had my card and he acted like he didnt know what I was talking about until everyone at the table told him they saw me give it to him. Then he pulled it out of his shirt pocket. Then it took him another 15 minuets to run it! He said he was going back through all their records to check to see who sold this gift certificate. At that point I cant figure out why he would need to do that while running my credit card. Then when I looked at the bill he brought me to sign he had taken off the $15 discount he had previously given us. The service was terrible and the food is mediocre at best. Even my brother, who loves Indian food, says hell never go back there.

Oh man, where to start? The food is good, but that does not make up for the fact that the service is absolutely atrocious, so so so painstakingly slow. I actually felt bad for other customers seeing them sit there for fifteen minutes drinking water before their papadums came out, which were completely devoured, not even standing a chance. My first time here I thought, "OK, Ill give it another try ." Second time I thought, "OK, they are having an off night." Third night confirmed all previous suspicions, that the owner is keeping costs down by hiring only three servers, one of which is his cousin. I had a glass which smelled like dishwater, but the cousin begged to differ with me after sticking his snout deep into my cold beer glass and claiming, "No it doesnt." Oh that kills me! Sooo taste. The examples go on and on. Ill never go here again and will give it about six months more. After I told the manager I had been waiting for twenty minutes to get my bill and samosa they still owed me, she utters, "Im sorry, we didnt expect it to be busy tonight." Im thinking, uh, its New Years Eve and you are a restaurant!? Dear Lord. If youre really desperate call in for takeout, then wait 30 minutes past when they say it will be ready. Do yourselves a favor and stop a little earlier off the highway at Tom Yung Goong in Vacaville to see Pet and Cindy. They will make you welcome, cook the best food around and will not stick their snouts into your glass and expect you to keep drinking out of it.

Nice food. The worst service ever. They offered us a corner table. That is fine. Only 4 plates and 4 silverware, inspite of we being 5. Handed us just one menu of drinks instead of making it individual. The punjabi guy who came to take the order, never mentioned that rice is complimentary with all the curries, as a result we ended up ordering separate steam rice. Never recommended for salad or papads while taking the order, later we ordered onion and lemon slices in between the meal which arrived 10 minutes later when we were almost done that also to the neighboring waitress, fact being only 3 tables occupied. Neither he showed up for water refill. Is that a type of service you provide and expect a good tip. At the end, he came to ask if we were done or need something else. The answer was we are done, but the waiter never brought the check untill I personally stood up and went to the main desk, no one was to be found there. Our waiter and the next table waitress were having a nice time at the bar dias, gossiping. I waved him a hand to which he gave a annoying look. We kept on waiting for the check upto next 10 minutes. In between listening to our casual talk, why the waiter get disturbed giving bitter looks ? Are we supoosed to sit quietly. No doubt, the food was best around the place but the service was worst of all. Also tbe interior was pleasant. Would never visit this palce again. I recommend owner to hire some more waiters or atleast train the existing one with some etiquette.

My young family got into Vacaville late on a Sunday. This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel and my children eat a variety of different foods, so we thought we would give this place a chance. We were immediately seated and the host asked us for our drink orders. We asked him what the options were and then he realized that he had never given us a menu. We ordered waters all around and he brought us menus. Soon our adult waters came and he said he would be right back with water for the kids. Well, 15 minutes goes by and we never received our kids waters and never placed our food order. A very kind man checked in on the table next to us and I flagged him down. I told him that we would like to order. He apologized profusely, immediately called over the waiter and he offered us a mango drink to make things right. We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, both "mild" as we were planning to share with the kids. The dishes were served and they were so spicy that my whole family could barely eat them. We were all sweating the food was so hot. I have never ordered something "mild" that was that spicy before. The flavors were amazing, just not "mild." The mango drink and the cilantro naan were the best part. Also, when the man was checking on all the other tables, he asked everyone to leave a review on facebook and yelp...but never asked us, so I wanted to make sure our experience is shared and they will be able to improve the experience for others.

== Careful with coupons == TLDR: Food and service is OK; dont expect management to work with you if something goes wrong. Details: The food was good, and the younger waitresses were reasonably efficient and polite. We enjoyed our meal. We had a Groupon coupon, however, which we (incorrectly) didnt show to the staff at the start. When it was time for the bill, we were informed that the conditions on the coupon were different from that that they went by -- and this would still have been the case if we had shown our server in advance: wed paid for a coupon with one set of conditions which were varied at the restaurant. The coupon said one food item per person. There were three of us and a baby. We ordered two main courses, an appetizer, and some naan bread. We were told that neither a chicken appetizer nor the naan bread counted as "food items". Note that the coupon didnt indicate one entree per person. After a lengthy discussion with the unmoved manager, he refused to honor the promotional value of the coupon, and only credited us with the original paid value. Given this experience, and despite some nice Indian dishes, I wont be going again.
