A friend and I brought an infant and two toddlers to this restaurant. While waiting for a table, one toddler was extending his legs across the floor. A waitress decided to step over him, nearly tripping herself. She gave us a dirty look, then the store owner immediately walked over to ask us if we planned to "control our children". She further went on to tell us that she reserved the right to refuse service. After telling her we were aware of her right, we asked her if she would like our business or if she would prefer that we leave the restaurant. She said she was not asking us to leave, but again reminded us repeatedly that she reserved the right to refuse service and continued to ask if we planned to "control our children". I explained to her that her waitress chose to step over the child and did not give him a moments notice to move after rudely saying "Excuse me!" She continued to argue and then rudely pushed two menus in front of our faces, telling us we could "just order now, then your food will be ready when we seat you." After realizing this woman had little experience with how children differ from adults in response time (being told "Excuse me") and patience (sitting on the floor, rather than the bench, causing a particular waitress obvious distress), I asked her if she had children of her own. "No," she told me, "but I have a pet. And I can control my PET!" The last straw was taken and my friend and I excused ourselves and enjoyed a nice lunch with our well-behaved toddlers elsewhere. We will not be giving this establishment our business.

Copy and pasted from my Yelp review: Dont come here if you want a timely meal. The service is FREAKING SLOW! The waiters seem untrained. We walk in the door, ask for a table for 2, and then stand there awkwardly for a while because the waitress that seemed like she would seat us says "OK" then disappears into the kitchen. Finally a different waiter comes and asks if weve been helped. Well, if we had been helped, wed be sitting down, not awkwardly standing at the entrance. Then he asks me where I want to sit. The restaurant is really big. I dont know where I want to sit! Just tell me where to sit! After we finally get seated and finally get our menus and finally order, the food takes a LIFETIME to come. I dont care that theres only 1 sushi chef; it should not take 50 minutes to make a chirashi sushi and 2 rolls, period. And might I add that the 2 rolls were tiny as hell. I guess they were sort of fat, but at $10 a pop, I expected more than 4 pieces each. The food itself tasted decent, but I dont even care. Theres no way Ill ever go back. I seriously have NEVER waited this long for food. Save yourselves!

Oh boy, where do I start? This is definitively the worst sushi I have ever had the displeasure of eating in my entire life. I live right down the street, so I was really excited that I had a sushi restaurant to visit, but now Im disappointed that it is taking real estate from another possible eatery. The fish was old and dried out. They have precut fish which is prone to get old and gross quickly, and it definitely did just that! The rice was also dry as was the seaweed. It tasted like sushi from the airport that someone had left out for a couple of days and then tried to pass off as premium sushi. Their prices were also out of this world expensive. $20/plate for 7 pieces of sushi and a tiny tuna roll. Needless to say, I would never return here. I did mention to them that the food was not fresh (the fish was so tough I couldnt chew through one piece and it had TONS of scales on it..) and they did nothing to remedy the experience. Poor customer service and little care for how bad their food is. Dont waste your money.

This restaurant is not the best but you can go there very casual mood. I usually went there with my friends or my colleagues to eat Japanese dinner with sake(Atsu-kang). I love it! Seto chirashi is my favorite lunch, dinner also good with full volume. If you want sushi and sashimi then I am not sure here is the best restaurant but if you want to enjoy Japanese cuisine then I definitely recommend this place. I ate sushi and sashime in here but small portion, please try other food like agedashi tofu or tempura... this place is the good place which you can get Japanese dinner or lunch. If you want sushi and sashimi then please check other more expensive restaurant.

Had dinner here last night for the first time with a friend. We shared the medium sashimi combo which was absolutely fantastic! The sushi was as fresh as it gets, miso soup was fine, tempura was excellent, and they gave us some free green tea ice cream free of charge. The total for all of this plus one beer was $32.00 - - - it doesnt get any better for that price. In addition to the great food, the sushi chef was chatting with us the whole time and he was a really nice guy, if a bit hard to understand through his accent. Ill be a regular at Seto from now on.

Solid sushi. Nice atmosphere, not flashy. Not even easy to see from the street, no frills. Was clean and friendly, not too crowded on an off night. The Toro was great, and the sake was reasonably priced. My only complaint would be that I had 2-3 different waiters, and even then was mildly neglected. They may have thought that eating solo I wouldnt be a big spender. But I had no timetable so it was all good and I spent plenty.

This place is fantastic. Top quality fish, perfect rice, excellent service, make for a wonderful combination. We had a sashimi selection, a sushi selection, and a few other terrific things. What a jewel to have in this neighborhood. Try the hamachi belly, or the clam miso soup. If you are price sensitive, go eat cheap crappy sushi somewhere else. But at Seto, you definitely get serious quality bang for your buck.

Welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, good service... Seto is one of those restaurants you wouldnt really look at twice on the way past. In fact, we only wandered in here quite by chance. However, the welcome and atmosphere are more than warm, and the sushi is well above average. Prices are on the fair side too. Orders arrived timely and were prepared exceedingly well. Ill be coming back here.

not sure if im just not into the "authentic" style, but everything from the chicken to the cali rolls tasted stale, cold, and hard. and i am not a fan of actual whole crab legs sticking up out of my roll! other than that nice people, nice restaurant, and the BEST miso soup! that could make up for it :)

The tempura and sushi were good. Its a bit pricey for what you get. The rice in the dinner set was horrible--mushy and smelly. It could be just the day I ate there though. In any case, even serving that kind of rice on an off day is bad. Overall though, the food is pretty good.

I love it, sat at the sushi bar.. I had great and creative nigiri, and very big ones... the tempura is good, not superlative but a very good one. The roll I had was good and very balanced. But again the nigiri were terrific! The salmon belly button was unforgettable!
