"Theres something about buffet restaurants, the food isnt "great" but abundant and fairly decent. My dining experience here is another story." OK I can stomach a lot of food because after eating "Army Chow," anything else is good! Army chow takes some time getting used to, its bland at best but sustains you and after awhile your stomach just accepts it. My stomach has gotten used to the civilian life because it wasnt agreeing with me here! Like I said, I try my hardest to give an honest review and rate them accordingly. The place is large and clean by buffet standards. On this second and last visit, we came around the lunch hour and there were a lot of construction type workers here. I overheard one guy say, "this stuff tastes like crap, but who cares, its all you can eat!" I almost fell out of my seat hearing that. I brought my son here and paid $19.73 so the price wasnt bad. Unlike "Kobe Sushi" out in Modesto where the food is a lot better by comparison, this place also carried various types of sushi already made and headed towards that part of the buffet first. Some of the sushi which they already prepared, obviously didnt appear fresh and actually looked dried! The "Sushi Chef," if thats what you want to call him, just stood behind the counter doing absolutely nothing and just stared at you as you tried to make out what he just made. I asked the "chef" if he could make me some sushi that wasnt on display and he just glared at me. Not sure if he understood me or he doesnt speak English. If thats the case, he has no business running the sushi counter because no one can make a special request or hes just as distasteful as their fish! I did try their "fried fish" and was surprised that it actually wasnt that bad. The fried rice was another story.... Ive never seen rice come out so yellow...? It looked like it had "jaundice" with smidgens of something embedded in it. I tried it because Im open minded and thats all Ill say about this.... Next they had "baby Octopus" which looked appetizing but the Soy Sauce was over powering, it was salty and just tasted like rubber band. I tried most of their other "hot dishes" which ranged from "flavorless to no flavor what so ever!" I added a little salt which brought out the flavor somewhat. I then observed a lady bring out some "Beef & Broccoli and mix it in with the left over out on the counter! Im not sure, but I dont think that was a good idea. "I passed." Next was the "Lobster Roll" which the sign stated but looked more like an egg roll and tasted more like "imitation crab, which is actually fish" wrapped up in wonton? "One bite, onto the next thingy..." I tried the "Won Ton Soup" which was in different containers. The Won Tons were in one container, the broth in another. Combining the two made soup, but tasting them did nothing because there was no flavor! Their "Hot & Sour Soup" wasnt bad and the only soup I had. The Chow Mein tasted more like soy sauce and again, the veggies were bland. They had greens cooked or sautéed but the garlic was over powering to say the least and couldnt finish it. There is a lot of food here but tasteless at best. We did eat till we were satisfied but didnt gorge ourselves like we do when we are eating good food. They have a station set up like Mongolian BBQ where you pick out your meat, veggies, and noodles for the guy to cook but I also passed on this because it just didnt look appealing. "The cook picking his nose also didnt help." Not sure, but this wouldve been a good day for the "Health Inspector!" Paying was the easy part because the only two people who actually spoke English were the greeter and the cashier. This place needs to have someone read the reviews or at least pay someone, so they can figure out what they need to do in order to improve service or go down in flames. "The End." "Yuck :-!"

Hi people reading this... I just came here for lunch with some of my coworkers planning to have a good relax time away from work right.... So as soon as we walked in we were seated up to there everything was going good till we sat down OMG the floor was so dirty the girls working there were SO rude never got one bit of a smile from any of them and the food was HORRIBLE DISGUSTING everything looked so old and soggy.... All i can say if any one is looking 4ward on having a good meal and a good time DO NOT GO HERE this is not the place to be at... Will never go here again

The worst place ever!! We went 2hrs before closing time and instead of letting us know that they are no longer bringing out food before seating us they just sat us down. When we ask one of the employee if they where going ro bring out more food she rudly replied no we make no more food. And on top of that that little snob that cashed us out was saying that if we dont like the food we shouldnt have came. And charged us full price even after i have complained about the food and the employees being so rude. Never going back.

Service isnt that great. We basically had to flag someone down every time for a refill. Other than that good food. We like to go during dinner for the crab legs. And this last time we went it was my husband and I and our 4 Year old son. They tried to overcharged us like $5 for our son. Luckily we caught it before paying so always look at your tab and make sure its right

Tried to eat here on 3 occasions.We have never been able to even get seated on 3 occasions.I am not waiting over 30 minutes to eat at a buffet only to be sent to the back of the line while other customers are seated. DMV has better customer service than the grand buffet.I wish there was a negative star rating scale .I would not eat here if it was free.

Its Sunday and its dinner time. Everything doesnt look that it has been left out for hours. I looked up the reviews and was about to back off because it has poor rating. But i was craving chinese food and headed over here. But everything looks great, maybe coming on a busy time its better because food is not left for hours.

This place sucks, always seating us next to a crying baby who kept throwing food at us, waitress see it happening but dont even offer to move us to a different table, old food, leaving feeling sick with a headache. Very unprofessional, then they wonder why they didnt get any tips from me. They just lost a customer for life

If I culd I wuld give it a minus 5...they have the worse customer service ever...the food was TERRIBLE it was cold and when u told them they call us names under their breath and in their language...I wuld not recommended nor come back...but their food came straight from the kitchen hHOT...oh and the have ROACHES!!!!!

Grand Buffet has such a wide variety of foods and yet NOTHING tastes good. Its a nice-looking place on the outside and on the inside, but every single thing I tried was something I would not eat again. Everything was either tasteless or old and tough. I got full off of sample tastes!
