I saw on Groupon they had a coupon for Viva la Pasta and I couldnt pass it up. I had been here once before and even though the service is a bit slow, the food is pretty good. On the Groupon, it said I could redeem the coupon by showing the restaurant the code on my phone. The server told my boyfriend and I that we could not use the coupon since it wasnt printed and needed to be stapled to our receipt. I thought this didnt make any sense since the code could simply be written on a separate piece of paper so we decided to speak to the manager. The manager also insisted I had to bring in the paper, even though it said right on the Groupon page to show my phone. I responded that this experience makes me not want to come back, which he responded "come on now, lighten up sweetie." Ive worked in restaurants for the past seven years, I know talking down to a guest isnt the correct way to solve a problem. After this chat, we asked for boxes, paid our bill and left. This experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, Ill make sure not to be going back for seconds.

(Like I was eating in Italy again!) I had been going to Viva la Pasta since they were in Encino and then Westlake, but then they were gone. I was so upset - when my cousins would visit me from Italy, there was no other restaurant that made them feel like they were eating at home. The best pasta and so many choices on the entree - and reasonably priced. But then I just found out they had moved to Simi Valley! Its been almost 10 years - Im so excited to find them again - if youre a pasta lover - and you want to eat like they do in Italy - the real Italy - not east coast Italian food - this is the place. Im in Encino - so looks like Ill be driving out to Simi Valley once or twice a week minimum. Please - Viva la Pasta - dont ever leave me again - Ive missed you!!!

Iv been going since I moved from Connecticut Its GREAT we were having the brunch later today I cannot wait I here Its very good! The servers are so nice and attentive. My father is vegan and they make special orders for him.Not to mention the managers, they always brighten my day! At the brunch they have a special rule 4 or 5 (I dont remember) or more people to order from the kitchen, because hes vegan their making an exception! Its nice to know that if your on a diet they have food for you. The seafood is so fresh and flavourful! They treat every customer equally! The desert is delicious! The food is great! You should come here to eat anytime of day!

I didnt even get a chance to eat here. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to come here. When we arrived, the owner (Im assuming) said to wait a few minutes. He didnt take our name down. We were next in line to get a table. He didnt tell us how long the wait would be. Then he got busy with other things and 25 minutes later they called another party that came there after us. We couldnt even track anyone down to complain. They made a really bad impression. Im glad we didnt eat here because the atmosphere wasnt that romantic. Not much of a young crowd, a lot of blue hairs. Next time, Ill just try this place through take out.

Came in here as part of a very large group (college volleyball team with assorted coaches and parents). It was a hectic situation as different members of our group were arriving at different times due to scheduling. Props to the waiters and manager as they managed to get everyone fed and beveraged none the less! The food was definitely better than that at a chain italian place, fresh and seasoned. Bread was great. I recommend this place.

Rude staff... They forced me to pay 18 % Tip. Im not native American and they were under the impression I recently migrated here. The Manager told me this is America and need to leave some tip . The service was horrible and not friendly at all. So I simply did not want to give any tip. that is it. How come they forced me to pay tip. horrible place.. never go there.. or never encourage anyone to go there..

I like their food usually but they do not listen when they take order and i ordered twice and same thing came out wrong. The person who was taking order was so rude, they are not even sorry when they serve wrong food. i mentioned that it is vegetarian order and still there was meat added. this happened twice. I will not go here anymore.. they really need to listen before taking order.

I took my mom here to eat for her birthday. It was a bad choice. Or maybe just eating the seafood was a bad choice. It didnt taste very fresh. We both had the crab and lobster, but I didnt get sick. I only felt a little sick to my stomach later. My mom had the crab, lobster and oysters. I think it was the oysters that made her vomit all night. What a waste of $75!

I am easy to please; and who doesnt love good Sicilian food? Honestly though, their Sunday brunch is the reason to go. All you can eat lobster! As well, all you can drink momosas. Nothing better to get you up in than morning than some orange juice and a bit of the bubbly. Again, I highly recommend this restaurant to one and all. :D

Very delicious! I ordered the gorgonzola with nocchi. The walnuts were a great addition to the array of flavors. The Gorgonzola was a bit drowned out by the cream, but that was also nice because the cheese wasnt so harsh. It was not a healthy dish by any means; it was a filling meal after a drive up the coast.

This is a great little restaurant in a small strip mall that would be very easy to miss - but that would be a shame. The seats are comfortable, the staff is very friendly and efficient. When we sat down, we were given balsamic vinegar and olive oil along with a basket of delicious bread.

Ive been here many times before - and on their busy days we opt to order to take home . Love their friends staff , Italian pride in their food and customer service . Reserved buffet lunch for 3 for tomorrow - taking a visiting friend song for a treat . Tino - see you tomorrow !

We have loved this restaurant, have been here several times, had daughters graduation party here: great food, service and reasonable, especially with their couples special coupon! (Theres one waiter that is a little moody, but I think he is gone now.)

Loved what I got for dinner. Its not inexpensive but I believe in the saying you get what you pay for. With food as good as theirs, Id say the price is worth it. Plus, the serving is big so its usually good for two meals! Id be back
