I visited this Popeyes around 9 oclock on Saturday and took the food to go I ordered a 3 piece chicken platter and a 3 piece chicken tender meal. When I got home and me and my family were eating our meals the chicken tasted as if it had been sitting out for a long time it did not taste fresh and the fries were hard. I contacted this Popeyes and they said that they would give us a credit for food and that we could come in whenever we would like I went back on Sunday and they were making up our food for us after we have been waiting around 30 minutes which is fine as long as they were going to give us fresh food the owner or manager who was there came out and made a big scene that we should have came back the night we got the food and that the reason our food was not the best is because we took it to go so by the time we got home his excuse was that it would no longer taste fresh. We order food from there to go all the time and I dont know what has changed maybe the management or whatever but the food just does not taste the same anymore. I would have continued to go to this Popeyes had he not came out and caused a big scene in the restaurant saying that it was our fault because we should have came back the same night. But now i will not be back. He was upset with his employees as well for replacing our food which is the right thing to do.

I ate here on 7/8/18. Mariani was the cashier and she was very friendly and helpful. On the Popeyes website for the Simi Valley location there was a coupon for a 5 piece chicken (or chicken tenders), 2 regular sides and a biscuit for $9.99. I used the coupon and ordered the chicken tenders spicy. My wife and I shared the meal and both felt the chicken tenders, sides (especially jambalaya), sauces (especially the Mardi gras mustard) were very good. I would personally say that compared to KFC, everything at Popeyes is better taste wise (except perhaps the biscuit), though KFC is typically a little cheaper if you order their $5 specials. I really enjoyed the food at Popeyes on this visit as well as on previous visits.

First they jack up the prices, then they cut back the portions. It takes 20 minutes to get your order so you sit there forever. I just ordered a "poboy" sandwich and found out when I got home they only put 1 chicken strip in it now. Why the heck would I pay $8 for a piece of bread with 1 chicken strip in it that I have to wait 20 minutes for?!?! This place is crap and Im never going back. I wish I could post a pic of my "meal".

Its a clean Popeyes, my only suggestion would be to offer a wing deal. It seems wing are always sold out and are popular in this area. This Popeyes should accommodate the demand for wings!
