We have a winner with The Sherman! I dined here with my wife and child and we were all satisfied with what we got. I started with a Downtown Cocktail which was composed of Clover Honey, Knob Creek Rye Bourbon, Orange Spice Bitters, Honey Comb. Who doesn’t want beverage that comes with a honeycomb in it. This was perfectly sweet, sticky and yummy. I also had the Quinoa burger – To be fair there isn’t a lot on the menu for vegetarians (hi)…the Quinoa burger and a couple of salads. But when you add in most most of the sides you end up with quite a selection. – I’m always go into a house-made veggie burger skeptically. They either fall apart or try to avoid the ‘simulation’ of being a burger altogether by going in a chickpea / falafel texture.) This one was quite tasty, served on a multi grain bun with melted cheddar cheese lettuce and tomatoes didnt fall apart as much as other house made veggie burgers do. The texture wasn’t 100 percent perfect, but it was still pretty darn good. Also the burger its self is gluten-free I also opted for the smoked gouda mashed potatoes as my side (subbed for fries). These were awesome. I would easily come back to this restaurant just for these. The vibe of the place is cool – 80s music playing, reclaimed wood everywhere, in particular on the walls. A very friendly staff and a full bar with many wine, beer and cocktail selections.

I was super duper excited when I learned the Sherman was opening up in this space--my Main Squeeze and I were huge fans of Tipple and Brine and were bummed when it closed. Obviously, we were hoping something similar would pop up in its place. The Sherman certainly gives off the same vibe--a combination of upscale and fancified bar food with carefully crafted cocktails. Execution, on the other hand, did not impress. If I ever see a fried chicken sandwich on a menu, its an automatic order, no matter what else is available. They use good bread (appeared to be La Brea torta rolls) that was a little on the dry side. The chicken was pleasantly crispy, but rather thin and insubstantial. They were a little too restrained with the toppings, so the bread totally overpowered the entire sum of the sandwich contents. Everything else we ordered tended to be sweeter than you would expect from savoury dishes (gravy on the fried chicken sandwich, burger, brussels sprout...). The visit was saved by the cocktails! They do some fun twists on classics, including their take on a penicillin made with scotch! And if you are into martinis, you will find plenty to keep you occupied.

Had the short run with gouda mashed potatoes and brussel-sprouts and almost orgasmed on my seat. Ok thats strong language sorry. But it was good. This place is the kinda place I wanma go back and try the whole menu cuz I can not see how anything there could be bad. Had a Stella, ok simple but effective. My server was so sweet and attentive too, I never wanted for a thing. But ahe wasnt annoying. Great decor and ambience, I want to bring all my frienda here and I will!! Sh# i think I might have to go and try tonight!

This was one of the happiest nights Ive ever had, that said! Everything around me seem to be perfect. The bar is spectacular the sitting area of the restaurant was quite large- the front windows are huge and left open so you felt the nice breeze of the wind by the bar. The service wasnt as good as they could have been, they seem to be young so maybe its lack of experience.

I was there a few weeks ago with a friend of mine, we liked it a lot. the food was great the waiters were great and made our drink the way we wanted. we ordered kale salad and veggie burger and we really enjoyed it a lot. it is a quiet place to sit around and chat with friends and enjoy a bite to eat.. we are heading there tonight as well.

(this review is for The Attic bar on the 2nd floor... which many people might not even know exists, but should) Ninja, our amazing bartender (with an equally amazing name) whipped up a custom mezcal concoction with some South African chili that was to die for. Would definitely visit again and put my taste buds in her capable hands one more.

Cool modern bar with a tasty menu. The upstairs has a speakeasy feel to it which I enjoyed. I ordered a Gulden Draak beer with the chicken and waffles, everything was quality! A few friends told me this place was great so I had to check it out. I will be sure to come back next time I visit Sherman Oaks.

Great decor. Awesome food, interesting menu options. If your picky and/or not interested in new things this not the place for food. Drinks on the other hand are really good. Nice selection of whiskey. Not a huge variety of beer but certainly good options. Great wines. Awesome bar staff!

Good food. Nice atmosphere. Great drink selection and a nice wait staff. Theres just one catch.... Its pricey. The problem is that its the kind of place that shouldnt be. I would say that is about 25-30% to high. Once again not bad just a little too rich for burgers and beer.

Awesome food, great attentive staff and a cozy back bar. Whats not to like?! The Bison Tartare and Lobster Ceviche are my favorite appetizers. The Short-Ribs are fantastic and Kale & Quinoa salad is yummy. Highly recommended for dinner or just drinks.

Some of the drinks werent that tasty (too little alcohol or not the right proportions). My burger was not cooked evenly but the appetizers were very good! Service was also good considering only 1 person was working that night on the floor.

The service was amazing. The menu is very unique but the food was poorly executed. Its not bad, but just not as good as it sounds from the menu. Parking isnt too bad with lots close by and if youre lucky youll find a spot on the street.

Was actually at The Attic bar (through The Sherman and upstairs). Had a great time. The bartender, "Ninja" was very attentive and creative in her mixology.

You have to try their Sriracha Tater Tots and Gremlin French Fries - out of this world. And their Mac n Cheese is also to die for.
