Amazingly delicious Paleo food that was surprisingly very reasonably priced! In fact, I have never been to a cafe/restaurant with such high-quality ingredients and paid so little. Here are the items I tried: * Sliders: 2 beef sliders with sweet potato hash browns as buns! Served with zucchini and avocado. Getting this was a great decision. What an absolute treat! The patties were perfectly made and the sweet potato buns were tantalizing. The zucchini was plain, but hey, not everything has to be flavored to the max; the natural taste of vegetables can be a delight too. This combo was excellent. * Peppermint Bulletproof Coffee: they sweetened it with xylitol. I really enjoyed this coffee. There wasnt too much butter, which I was happy about. My husband puts in too much butter I think, and thats why I wasnt a huge fan of BFC in the past. However, the store version showed me that just a touch of butter can be enough, not to mention delicious. This was more of a sipping type of drink for me, whereas I can gulp down other kinds of coffees. I believe its the richness of the butter that makes one want to slow down, but that also results in going too slowly and ending up with a cold 1/3 of your cup left. :) * Cauliflower Rice: I believe they were attempting fried, cheesy rice. It was a little on the dry side, but still very appetizing. The spices were mild and gave it a slight umami touch. It was overall ok, but Id only do this again if I were having a hankering for starch but had to limit them. * Protein Bowl: I stole a couple of bites from my husbands steak bowl. The beef steak strips were perfectly cooked and marinated in something divine! The sauce reminded me of a teriyaki with less sugar. The steak was served on top of a bed of yellow (saffron?) rice. If you are really hungry, Id go for this one. Very generous portion. I also tried the vibration plate! Its free to use. Make sure to bend your knees otherwise your head will rattle! I actually felt pretty energized the next day, which is unusual for me, as I normally get more tired and worn down on vacations (I dont travel well!). I think the combination of the highly nutritious food, vibration plate, beach and sunshine all helped lift my mood and spirits. I will most certainly come back when Im in Santa Monica again.

Have you ever kept coming back to a place eventhough you always leave angry and disatisfied even disrespected hoping something is going to change? I get some people you just cant please but wow man. I waited a year for this place to open. I will no longer come back here. Bulletproof coffee is being badly managed. This was not awalys the case. How many gift cards is this poor manager going to hand out before she actually does something about the problem? Bad quality. Its impossible to get a cup of BP with out it tasting burnt it sometimes gives me indegestion. Consistently rude service and I mean rude. I have had multiple instances of rude service. Had a barrista snatch my debit card from my hand and his response to me was "Hi IQs gotta keep it movin". The food takes 50 min on average. I understand quality food is not prepeared quickly but this is all the time.

My overall experience was good with a few things that lowered my rating. Its hard to say that I didnt like the food; my salmon protein bowl had good rice and veggies. The thing that bothered me the most was the fish. The meat was a strange neon pink color while the skin tasted old or stale I guess. It was disappointing to say the least. The raspberry ice cream was also only okay. It was icy and not very creamy. The flavor was on point though. We admittedly got the last dregs of the ice cream barrel, but for $9 per small cup, it seemed like a lot. Finally, the location left something to be desired. I saw an employee get her bike stolen and my parents told me about another time when someone robbed the store of the tip jar. Not really anyones fault, but it definitely put people on edge. Overall, I might go again, but it was a strange for sure.

Made my pilgrimage to the Bulletproof Cafe on a recent trip to Santa Monica and I sure was impressed. I had the Bulletproof Mocha and the Coconut Tortilla breakfast burrito. Both were amazing. Ive drank Bulletproof coffee for a while now but was still impressed by the mocha. The right kind of sweet and full of healthy fats and rich chocolate. I was blown away by the burrito and overall quality of the food. Several of the other entrees I saw come out looked at least as good. And if I could have I would have eaten here everyday. It was that good. Exceeded my expectations and I will certainly be back if I am to visit this area again. Hoping theyll open one in my hometown (Seattle), WA.

Admittedly, this could be a little biased because I opened the Bulletproof Coffee shop after a couple years of work to bring the concept to life. There are dozens of little things you probably wouldnt notice that are built into the environment here to help you perform better. And honestly, if I didnt feel comfortable giving it five stars, I wouldnt allow the doors to open. But the real reason Im reviewing this is so that you know that I actually pay attention to these reviews and really appreciate it when you let me know whats working and what isnt. ;) Whenever I am in Los Angeles, I hang out here and visit with customers... -Dave

Food/Coffee: breakfast burrito is a must try! Shell was light, all other ingredients were fresh and makes you feel good after. I will pay for yours if you dont like it. Original coffee recipe is different in a delicious more filling/satisfying way. Service: young and typical soCal-esque looking staff are extremely friendly and informative making good recommendations if you cant decide. Decor: clean, modern, simple with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Bottom line: come here for healthy, meal-replacement-like coffee and quick, healthy food options at all times of the day.

Coffee, while expensive, is first class and unique. They blend mct oil with grass fed butter and special mold free pure coffee to create a special and healthy experience. Its tasty and a unique bio hack way of a diet. They have many other options to along with this new way of eating. Wait staff is also super friendly. Jonathan is super friendly and knowledge, the female managers are great there. WiFi... Needs work and is frustrating. Small mocha is $4.75 and tasty bullet proof style food options here for around $10 to $15.

Drove from Vegas and I had to experience this cafe. Its clean, friendly and AMAZING! Ive only experienced this coffee in my home (since I make it at home, Hawaii) I order products online to get the best bulletproof coffee. I ordered a large ice mocha coffee & it blew me away! The most delicious cup of coffee EVER! I would recommend this place to everyone :) side note, parking isnt the greatest & the city police isnt the nicest either. Made my cup of coffee taste that much better...aloha!

Great coffee, actually wakes me up which is rare. Read about what makes it special on their site, because I cant do it justice. They add high octane brain oil and butter (you can exclude either or both), though they help your brain function and metabolism. This place is pricey, but considering the average price on the westside, it is relatively worth it, considering it is an actual specialty. This isnt a good place to work, as there is almost no seating inside.
