I really enjoy eating here every time I go. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the food is great too boot. Everything is always clean, including the bathrooms. The pricing is on the moderate side for a Chinese food place, with an average dish being about $11 bucks. You also get free tea as soon as youre seated. For combination dinner specials, those start at about $17, and you get plenty of food. They also host parties and can have a DJ and reserve a night if you need something big.

An okay place for dim sum. I like the portion they serve so I gave this place an extra star. The size of dim sum here is a little bigger than other places and price is similar. However, the restaurant itself is quite outdated and old though. They have extra breakfast menu on the weekend. Taste wise is average but its still a good place if you want bigger size. This place used to be quite crowded but I guess too many new dim sum places opened ,such as koi palace, and its not as popular as before.

Weve been enjoying China Styx since we moved to Santa Clara 30 years ago. It is our familys favorite place to go for celebrations or just because one of us is craving one of our favorites like Honey Pecan Prawns or Tempura Eggplant in Hot Garlic Sauce. Their lunch plates are good and also affordable for a generous serving. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out! They are a neighborhood favorite here in Santa Clara! I used the word "favorite" three times, LOL, they really are that good!

Our favorite go to Chinese Restaurant. Whether is it a to tired to cook night or a wonderful special occasion we know we can count on China Stix. With Frank overseeing the kitchen, and his annual trips to China to stiff up the menu and Ruby managing the front, stable staff ensure a wonderful experience. If you enjoy Dim Sum you have a weekend treat in store for you, China Stix has grown to be a valley leader in this category too. Try it, youll like it.

The name of the restaurant sounds silly (especially with the x written as two criss-crossed chopsticks) but the quality of the dim sum definitely makes up for it. In addition to the classic dim sum dishes, you can also get hot soy milk and shaobing youtiao (layered flatbread and fried Chinese donut) and fantuan (rice roll) that is typical of Taiwanese breakfast. All around delicious food with decent service. Restaurant can get quite crowded so go early.

i came here for chinese new year dinner. we had a large group, so we ordered the banquet menu. every dish that came out was either not very chinese, or looked strange and mysterious. nothing tasted great, but it didnt necessarily taste bad either. ive heard that their normal menu items are better. the service was also horrible. we asked for water from multiple waiters, but never got it. we had no choice but to serve them ourselves!

Normally go for lunch with vendors or customers. Came here with family for dinner as they wanted steak. Overall meat and side dishes were very good; surprised to the positive side. My wife had lamb and she said very good. I had blackened Robey medium done and it was very good as well. Sprout side dish was excellent.

Northern Chinese breakfast and limited Cantonese dim sum, in addition to regular lunch and dinner menus. Excellent dough-based (buns) brunch selections. Interesting house-version xiao long bao. Good hard bean curd and pig ears appetizers. "Usual suspect" dim sum selection. Did not try their regular menu items.

We ordered takeout and having worked in a Chinese restaurant the food was only good but not great. I think they forgot the cornstarch as all the brown sauces were too runny. The biggest gap is the price though. I would consider it too high priced for the quality. Ill give the place another chance though.

We ordered out and the delivery service was excellent; however, the food quality was mediocre. We ordered the sweet & sour delight and the broccoli beef. Both dishes were okay but lacked that deep, savory flavor that comes with a lot of Asian food. I probably wouldnt order from here again.

One of my new favorite places for Chinese food! To echo what others have said - honey pecan prawns and garlic eggplant are both excellent, and the service can be pretty slow when they are busy. Dont get judgey when you see the outdated seating and decor inside - the food rocks!

We came here for you tiao and dou jiang, the you tiao was really big and a little softer than the ones we get in Southeast Asia. The dou jiang was sweet and freshly made. We also had a couple of dim sum. The egg tarts were big and the crust was fluffy. Overall dim sum is good.

Weve been eating here regularly for many years and the food is always delicious with so many good choices. Very friendly staff and never have to wait long for anything (food, bills, etc). We usually order way too much food so we have leftovers to take home and enjoy.

Good food, good service and great location. My go to place for pick up dinners! Was a little shocked how the prices went up a bit, but oh well. Parking can be a bit of a struggle, but where isnt these days. Chow fun is my favorite here! Yum!

Quick service for a busy Sunday afternoon. Salad was good. Tried with a peanut sauce. Not very greasy. Orange chicken was not too good. Looked like more batter than chicken. Plates were small.

The food is always a consistent quality, so we tend to order our favorite dishes. And the servers are always very conscientious and helpful. The place is quiet and clean, so we like it a lot.

Great service, generous portions, consistently great food! One of my favorite places for decades. Try the eggplant in garlic sauce, even if you dont like eggplant you will love it.

味道不错,分量非常足。一份炒饭足够2人吃,也就在11美元以内。强烈推荐。

This is a healthier version of chineese food. I think everything was either boiled or steamed instead of fried. Sercice was decent, but the food was not my thing.

Great place to eat at an affordable price, the Hispanic waiter is very friendly and helpful, the rest of the staff seem unhappy or in a bad mood.

Celebrated moms 70th birthday here in the banquet room with 50 people. 10 course banquet rivals any good Chinese restaurant at a better price.

Great food, a cut above most peninsula Chinese restaurants in quality. Certain dishes especially good: Hunan sauté, eggplant combo, etc.

Okay. The name sounds kind of cheesy but the food is actually pretty good. Fairly large restaurant and they get filled up for lunch.
