WOULDN’T GIVE ME MY CREDIT CARD BACK This place is a joke! Terrible business practices – lied to me and literally held my credit card hostage because it wasn’t convenient for them to access their safe (on a Saturday! In one of the busiest malls of the bay area!) I left my card there on a Friday, realized it on Saturday, called and left a voicemail. Nothing. So my friend and I drive out there as I am sure I left it there and remember specifically when. When we get there we are told the card is there and safe, they will give it to me momentarily. Excellent. Minutes later the same girl comes back and says that I have to came back the following day to get my card. When I ask why, she says that the card is just not there anymore. I let her know that it makes no sense that anyone would take my card with my personal information OUTSIDE of the establishment and that I find that extremely alarming!! Having grown up in the city, and having even worked many years of retail in my youth AT THE SAME MALL, I know that she is lying to me. The card is in the safe and the owner/manager just doesn’t want to give her access to it – Mind you the owner trusts this employee enough to leave her to manage and run the business on the busiest day of the week, but not enough to give her safe access or leave my card with her so that I may pick it up, before leaving the premises. I call and call the customer service number again where I left my voicemail before telling them I was coming to pick it up- and miraculously, they answered!! No owner manager, but got a number to reach the owner. When I do, he confirms that the card is in fact in the safe (ok, less alarmed they would take, my card off premises) but says there is nothing he will do. The manager is not available to come in (on a Saturday!) and neither is he. He is also unwilling to give the ladies running his business on such a high volume day, access to the safe for my credit card – A CARD THEY HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT TO KEEP!! Never mind that: 1.) ALWAYS HAVE MANAGEMENT AVAIALBLE ON WEEKENDS- PERIOD! 2.) You could have left my card out for them with explicit instructions to only give it to me after checking ID – as I was coming in that day to pick it up. Not just because my voicemail said so, but because it’s common sense!! 3.) HIRE PEOPLE YOU CAN TRUST WITH SENSITIVE INFORMATION- LIKE SAFE PASSWORDS!! 4.) If you don’t, then just CHANGE THE PASSWORD TO THE SAFE!! It’s that simple!! Give her access to it (she is already running your business, and you are entrusting her to handle all transactions and entrusting her with your customers!!) & THEN JUST CHANGE THE PASSWORD! What kind of joke of a business thinks it’s ok to do this to customers because they have no idea how to run a business in a high volume shopping center!

This is a pearl tea and cocktail bar. It has unique and fun tea or sake drinks. I got the strawberry envy drink which was a tea-espresso drink. It was tasty and I felt energized for sure! My husband got his usual milk tea and they had honey pearls, which he enjoyed. Since they are handcrafted drinks, it cost the same amount as a special Starbucks drinks so around $4-5. We didnt get any cocktails, but they were sounded good. We were there during happy hour 4-7pm, and we got the popcorn shrimp that came with curry ketchup, and that snack was so good! I am so glad we got it! I would definitely get it again! It was light and crispy without being oily. The curry ketchup also sold it for us. The seating area at Bar code was also quite cushy and comfortable. It was a nice place to have a snack and a good drink.
