This is strange. I wrote a review about a month ago and its been erased? Hmmm, Ill have to rewrite it. Just want to warn patrons about their seating policy. If you say you have a party of 4 and 2 of you show up, they will not seat the 2 of you until the other 2 show up. If, for some reason, the 2 other people cant make it for some reason (which was my case), the staff wont believe you!!! Youll have to explain it to them like 100 times before theyll seat you, and then, when they finally do seat you, theyll take your extra chairs away just in case the rest of your party shows up!!! Unbelievable!!!

This place was horrible, their seating policy requires that the all party must be present before being seated, four of us were there and waiting on the last person to show up, the host refused to seat us, after much debate he finally agreed to let us seat down, by that time our friend had already shown up, the food was tasteless to say the least, the only good stuff there is the ambiance, the salsa, and the margarita which helped laugh out the negative experience, this place has potential but for now it just doesnt cut it, we will not be going back there ever again.

Our Garmin helped guide us to this little restuarant while on vacation in Santa Cruz. Its a small place, maybe 20 tables, smartly and authentically decorated. The service was prompt and friendly. I had an enchilado plate with an interesting red pepper sauce and my husband had a tace and poblano pepper, which he raved over. Im an ice tea fan (being from the south), and they served a dark and delicious tea, which they brew several times a day. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great fast service. There were several good vegetarian food options. We had the vegetarian enchilada which was very good. We also had the vegetarian green corn tamale platter with rice and beans. I like the tamale as it was slightly sweet but my wife prefers spicy. This was more than enough for me and my wife. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. This is a vegetarian friendly restaurant which has several nontraditional Mexican menu items.

start with chips and salsa; a great sangria,; followed up by unique and flavorful entrees. i had the tamales made with real cream. yum!! very polite staff and you can tell they really care about good food. many meat dishes and seafood dishes; but they can easily cater to vegetarians and even vegans with no problem. so glad we found them!! oh yah, and i guess their specialty is mole. we didnt try it this time though.

This is our favorite restaurant period. Inventive menu, fresh-fresh ingredients nicely presented, a Tapas night, and the best Margaritas in the SC area. Excellent personable wait staff. Small, no reservations, so at peak times you will wait 45 minutes. They wont hold extra chairs at a larger table unless all your guests are there - so be careful with invites to those chronically late types!

Yes, yes, yes. Great place. Been going there for about 16 years. Amazing food. Never disappointed. Have to be able to wait for a table and not be offended if they skip you if all parties arent there...the restaurant is small and they cant cater to late comers, the will lose money. The place is worth the trip. My boyfriend and I go at off times to assure their seating availability.

I know lots of people who like it here but I like Mexican food to be spicy. Ive been here twice and the food was bland. On one occasion I ordered a vodka/soda/lime. They made it with pear vodka (that was pretty disgusting) and didnt get it right on the second attempt either.

Flat out (no pun intended) the best "new cuisine" Mexican restaurant in Santa Cruz County. Get there early or youll wait for a table. They take reservations for 6 or more. My wife and I have been eating here for over 35 years. It just keeps getting better.

Great food, great people, great menu, great service, and the best margaritas in Santa Cruz. The higher price reflects the even higher quality. This should not dissuade you. I only mention it in case you are looking for a cheaper option.

There’s a great Mexican restaurant in Soquel that uses local mariscos (seafood). A group of us get together there every week (we’ve been going for over 10 years!) Cheryl (the owner & chef) is always coming up with new recipes.

Everything you can ask for in a Mexican restaurant. This place is clean and the servers are friendly. The food is a bit pricey but well worth it. Oh....the margaritas! Tasty and served in large decorative glasses.

Great staff that made me feel like this was my "regular spot." The food is great and feels like a mix of French techniques meets Cancun-style Mexican food. Let me not forget that margarita...WOW!

Beat Margaritas in Santa Cruz County. The Mole and Durango enchiladas are superb. Their tapas menu is great. Love the eggplant dish and albondigas. Our favorite Mexican restaurant!

The taco was mostly lettuce with sparse carne asada. No taste. The enchilada was good. The server never said thank you. The chips were cold and bland.

Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. The food was good but not exceptional. The refried beans very bland and undesirable. But for the price it was ok.
