Quick service and friendly staff, great food. Update based on todays visit. While I still think the food is good I have to question the food preparation technique. While waiting for my food and then eating and watching the staff get ready for the lunch crowd one staff was eating while putting the paper in the to go boxes. He did wipe his hands on a towel after taking a bite but was eating over the boxes. Another staff was eating and drinking while filling the to go mustard cups right over the cups. Touching the cups and eating is not my idea of food safety. I can only hope that the staff in the back was not doing the same thing while preparing my eat in food.

The rye bread was very dry, the meat did not have enough flavor to overcome the potent rye, the meal was really overpriced ($13 for the sandwich, fries, and a gatorade). Would not recommend it. Also, one friend ordered the "Lite" size sandwich and the other (like myself) ordered "Regular." The sandwiches, to the best we could tell, were identical in size (and even then, not particularly big). I had the corned beef sandwich, two of my friends both got the pastrami, and they are of the same opinion as myself. Youre better off going to The Hat.

Above average Deli, slightly above average prices. Homemade Pickles, exceptional Potato Salad, Pretty good Pastrami Sandwich. My colleague had a brisket sandwich and was quite happy with it. I tried it and thought it was a little chewy to make my top 5 list but all of my top five come from BBQ restaurants at 1.5 times the price. Considering the proximity to my work, its an overall great place to eat lunch,. I return 2-3 times per month.

Omg!! Best pastrami sandwich hands down!! The sandwich on rye bread is packed with meat and the meat is lean. Not full of fat and is cut perfectly so it doesnt fall out of the bread when eating it. Its a bit expensive but completely worth it because each sandwich contains like 5 pounds of meat. Best of all, The owner and staff make you feel like your at an old town delicatessen. You feel like family there.

First time here, and they didnt fail to disappoint. I think I made a slight mistake in ordering their 1/2 burger special with pastrami on top. The burger was delicious and a little on the pricey side. Next time I would just order one of their standard pastrami sandwiches. Their sodas are also pretty expensive at nearly $3.00 ... so watch out for that

This is a wonderful spot for old-school pastrami-on-rye fressers, and spot-on Nathans hot dogs as well. While Im not personally a fan of Dr. Browns sodas, they have a selection of regular and diets in bottles, including the venerable Cel-Ray. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available. This place is a treasure.

I wasnt impressed. Their prices are much higher than similar sandwich places in the neighborhood. The corned beef was tough and grizzly. They have some menu items listed in their window, but the same items are not on their menu board near the order counter. I dont know what I would come back here again.

Always delicious! This place has bottles of deli mustard on every table for you to add to taste. Their chili is phenomenal; it is a meal in it self. Typical meal for me is: roast beef halfer on wry-bread + dill pickle + side of chili or soup + drink. It puts you out about $12, but it is well worth it.

I was in California for 8 days or so, I ate at Tommy Pastramis 3 times. I crave the sandwiches on a regular basis now. If you are in the area, and arent a vegetarian, you owe it to yourself to eat here. Hands down best pastrami and brisket sandwiches Ive ever tasted.

Great taste, worth the price, half sandwich could fill up most peoples stomach, potato salad was decent, my friends and I enjoyed a lot, their black and white cookies are awesome. Will definitely go back.

I had a 1/2 Tuna sandwich which was overpriced $7.95, fries and tea. Overall it was good, but I can get a large salad for the same price as the 1/2 sandwich. Ill be back for the fries!!

They gave alot of meat, but wasnt as good as the women talked it up. Rye bread was hard , pastrami had hard meat mixed in more like pastrami jerky. Would not go back for seconds....

Large sizes for $$$ i would be good with smaller portions. Also not very healthy. However i suppose those are the things that normally draw people in.

Great service and good sandwiches. Only reason why it didnt get 5 stars is because they ran out of hamburgers which is why i originally went there.
