FILTHY and GROSS. When you walk in youll notice everything is dirty. Every counter top is dirty and has personal items and junk piled on it. Walls and floors are covered with grease The old family that runs the place must be living in the kitchen area from the looks of this place. The filth inside this place is just the tip of the iceberg. The elderly lady who runs the place has dirty hands and fingernails, uses no gloves, no hair net, no sanitation AT ALL. The countertop where you pay is covered with a half dozen or more old sauce bottles with crusty stuff dripping around the lids. Do I actually really need to continue with this review? Lets just say I ordered two tacos and I watched the lady slather them with every imaginable watered down salsa and guacamole they had. It was an unedible runny mess. The meat was grisle laden and again watered down with some old salsa. Pure awful food, served in the most dirty environment, you would be better off eating your lunch in a truck stop restroom. Pictures to follow

Ok the best Rice burrito ever. The guys who make the burritos here pile on the rice. I counted three scoops of rice with 1 little scoop of chicken. The ladle for salsa, guac, and sour cream is the size of a table spoon. Total rip. The one on foothill isnt any better prepare to get some serious attitude from the flamboyant boy at the register. 7 dollars for rice plus tax so more like 8.50 and 2 dollars for a soft drink. Way overpriced.

Without question the best Mexican food in SLO. The chicken mole enchiladas are amazing. Don't be confused by the place on Foothill owned by a cousin which should be forced by the Mexican food gods to change their name to something different.

I think the reviews posted are NOT for the restaurant at 2121 Broach. There is another Chili Peppers in SLO. This location is a dive. Went at 1pm, not a soul in the place. Cash only. Very seedy. Turned around and walked out.

Good food, nice service, but they need to work on their professionalism a lot. They are one visit from the health department away from major trouble. Its very sad because this place used to be thriving years ago.

I wish the owners and employees would clean the tables, chairs, bus trays etc along with clearing empty tables instead of looking at their phone or computer. Used to come here a lot but its slowly degrading.

Chile Peppers is amazing! 99 cent tacos, whats better than that? Super close to campus and you get free chips and salsa with your order. Very good customer service, best carne asada in town! :)

Definitely would recommend their fish tacos which are amazing. Burritos are sloppy but awesome as well. Check out their new lunch time buffet if your looking for a lot of food around noon!

Chili Peppers on broad is the best authentic mexican in town. I really like the #1 meal, eat it out back in the jungle room.

My ATF for a Carnitas Burrito, have them grill the carnitas for a bit to make it extra crispy...

Good marinated meat and burritos, but the atmosphere is a little too rustic.
