Golondrinas are these cute birds that go chirp chirp, nice little birds, but Las Golondrinas Mexican Food are out to get the palate less lemmings that crowd their counters without fail. Why so harsh, you may ask? I will explain: Went there for Taco Tuesday at the suggestion of a very bad advice from a member of our family. Mentions of outstanding tacos for a $1, filled with meats, made it sound oh so good! We do not reside in the area, were passing through for other business, so I decided to stop and order the tacos. I ordered 10 Carne Asada and 5 Carnitas, waited for about 12 minutes, and since I had requested the order be made to go, I saw as the aluminum foil wrapped tacos were diligently put into a brown bag. Asked for salsa, was told it was extra. Also, tacos were $1.60 not $1, prices had evidently shot upwards. Upon arriving to our home we opened the tacos ready to enjoy them. To my surprise the tacos had about 70% beans. Who, in his sane mind, would order tacos made out of beans? Most places served the meat of choice with salsa, and there you go. The reason they fill their tacos with beans is very simple: less meat. The quality of the tacos was way below par, with steamed double tortillas that frankly, tasted dull. Then again, they had a full staff of about 14 working there, and the crowds kept coming. When I asked how good was the fare I was given the answer of delicious which is a total shock after trying these very crappy bean tacos with a dash of carne asada and carnitas. Well, out of $24 plus? I must urge to anyone of a mind to visit this place to seriously pay attention at their cost cutting ways, and at their expensive menu items, which would be all fine and dandy if this Golondrina was a cut as the birdies with their name, but it is not. Lesson to be learned: not because it is crowded necessarily means it is good, specially in the taco department. I must add that the beans were dried and tasteless. My bad. 1 Star.

Been here a couple times because I like their carne asada nachos and its convenient. I must warn you, theyre very unwelcoming and have bad customer service. They dont even want to take your order. Its a drag or makes them angry that they have customers. Guess they dont need my money by ignoring the person standing 1 foot away from the counter waiting to be greeted, or to order food. My food was watery and messy. Im done giving them the benefit of the doubt because its like im begging fo them just to let me order food. What the hell kind of treatment is this? Im not a beggar or dirt.

Bad!!, really really bad!! WATCH OUT with a old lady in front name ISABEL. Yeah the woman with the worst appereance!! If you decide to go anyways go to san clemente or other restaurant like el campeón or el molinode oro. Or at least choose another cashier, if she doesnt like you, she will make you suffer and waiting until the restaurant is complety empty, literally, to give you the expensive food. They know managers and owners are not there on weekends. Learn from my experience, they dont care about people, as long they continue having business.

Nice cheap authentic Mexican food. They let you pretty much customize anything you want. I add sliced avocado all the time. Breakfast is served all day, which I can never pass up a nice breakfast burrito. This location is a little bit hidden but this is a chain and Ive never been disappointed with any that Ive visited. There can be a little bit of a wait, but its usual because they cook the food after you order it. The burritos are always burning hot to the touch when I get them.

This is the location where Las Golondrinas stared in San Juan Capistrano. Located in the center plaza like of the Capistrano Business Center the place is not fancy but if you want good Mexican food I recommend to give it a chance. You will be impressed. They have the tortilla and the chips done on site. I did get them to cater for a couple of big parties and the food was a success.

Just picked up a breakfast burrito. The guys name who took my order, his name is Sal. He dressed and looked like he just got out of bed. Treated me like I was a piece of crap. Asked for extra salsa after I ordered and refused to give me another little cup of salsa and looked at me like I was inconveniencing him. Food may be good but I dont need to be treated like this

Hey Beach volleyball player. I had a similar experience a few years ago. I went to the San Clemente location and was treated rudely. I asked to talk to the manager and I was given the brush off by some rude gal. Have never returned and always tell my acquaintances there is better food and value at other places I frequent. Lousy customer service and poor value.

k, just order two chicken tostadas for pick up at 1.45, they did not even have it ready let alone start making them. The female at the counter stated they dont start making the food until you arrive. I am on a tight lunch hour and they just done seem to care I told her dont even start making them, her reply, was Fine

This place is a scam. They fill their tacos and burritos with tons of beans. If you want a carne asada burrito youre going to get a bean burrito with some carne asada. The food tastes good, but its just a rip off. I prefer to not support this place out of principle.

The people and the food are great! I travel back and forth from Los Angeles to San Diego and me and my family always stop in for the food. The hospitality is excellent as well as they know Im not local but treat me and my son as we are.

Las Gol is terrific. We have ordered takeout for 30 years from them. They are on time, great quality and very generous in their servings. Their salas is terrific and their chips are to die for. We love their food.
