One star, once again. I apparently forgot how bad this place is, and visited again. This review is for a dump, not a restaurant. I will make it quick. Party of three. First persons served breakfast. About five minutes later, the other two persons were served plates. My wifes plate was wrong...not what she ordered. My plate (pancakes and sausage) was screwed up every way possible. Horrible cakes, and cold sausage. Part of screwing up OUR meals, the plates were dirty from what I can only imagine, burnt steaks. It was disgusting, and Im a guy that rarely complains or turns back food. Waiter was sooooo bad, that I made a personal first...I didnt tip. At least he earned it. Here is a quick tip for this place when you walk in the door, and have not completely bought my review. Look at the staff. Not a smile in the house.

I like eating here. The staff is nice, food is good and they keep your coffee cup full. I had the lunch special, half sandwich and soup. I got a pastrami sandwich and minestrone soup, and it came with a pickle slice. It was delicious and filling. We got a window booth and enjoyed looking out at a nice day. The seating is comfortable, the table clean. Condiments are right on the table too. Get yourself some lunch, breakfast or dinner too. Its all tasty and the decor is island bright. There is also a bar table at the kitchen where you can see the staff in action. They have a huge eclair, but this will be for two because it is big! Recommended.

This place was absolutely awful! The male server was extremely rude, and the breakfast was nasty. The omelet had a thick skin on the bottom, and the ingredients inside were cold. The hash browns were dark and crunchy on the outside, and mushy in the middle. Finally, the pancake was cold - the whipped butter didnt even melt. I am a really good tipper, and it takes a lot to get anything less than a 15% gratuity out of me, but the server deserved nothing, and thats what he got! I highly suggest that you eat somewhere else when considering breakfast options!!

Normally I love every and all Flames restaurants/coffee shops in the area. This time, however, our server completely forgot about us and when we finally got our food, it tasted like most of it sat underneath a heating lamp for the past half-hour. I do recommend Flames above many other breakfast places (Im looking at you, Bills Cafe...) but this time? They let me down.

I give it 3 stars because the customer service was excellent the food fresh and scrumptious and the macaroons we bought to go were not only yummy but come in a beautiful colorful box. It was a great bday surprise by my daughter. We had the egg benedict, french toast and a berry dessert. Highly recommend.

Manwell our waiter was the best I have ever seen. Two of our sons are Chefs in 4 and 5 star restaurants and I still have now been helped by anyone better. I have lived in this area for 13 years and the food has gotten so much better. I will definitely return for great customer service and great food.

Ok atmosphere and prices are expensive. Dont know why its $ only. Should be at least $$. Dont see remodeling and most of furniture are "hit fixed" just to keep it together". But if you look closer youll find a lot of dust and spider nets flying all over the place. Expected much more

Yaaassss!!! A new coffee shop in the hood! The offerings are simple and diverse. Food is home spun, great flavor, and made fast. The space has a wonderful ambiance, well lit with large windows, art everywhere, and classic coffee shop decor. This is the coffee shop this area needs.

Went with friends for a bite to eat for dinner. Had the BLT with a couple of glasses of lemonade. This place makes a great BLT, the fries were a little over cooked, but good all the same. Good service by the staff. They definitely make sure your drinks are always refreshed.

Love this place. My boyfriend and I frequent it every time I come to SJ to visit. Its always a must go for me. The wait staff is excellent. They treat us very well and make us feel at home and accommodate us in all ways possible.

Diner thats maybe a notch above Dennys. Portions are large (I usually need a doggy bag), especially the breakfasts. Service is attentive. Not my initial choice, but a place to go for convenience. Burgers are pretty good.
