One-half step above Chevys. Went here on a Friday night and should have realized we werent in for the best Mexican when the place was completely empty. We had the chicken mole enchiladas and flautas, both were decent, but nothing above what you might get out of the Trader Joes freezer section. The service was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable, so not a bad option if youre in the mood for some Mexican, but theres definitely better in the Bay Area.

Yes this place might be located inside of a strip mall but I would still highly recommend going here. Their fish tacos are probably some of the best I have had in the area and the enchiladas arent bad either. The service is always top notch and you can order take out if you dont want to sit down (as the decor leaves a little bit to be desired). But overall for a latin restaurant the food tastes delicious and the price is right.

We visited Dona Maria based on the other reviews, and it did not disappoint. The inside is not fancy, but it is nice, and the service is great. The food is fabulous, especially the enchiladas. I dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. From our visit, it is obviously a local favorite, since it filled up after we arrived. If you are in the area and want some good Mexican food, definitely give it a try.

My girlfriend and I split the Nachos Grande and ay yay yay! So good! Tons of fixings and the chips are nice and thick. Then we split the Enchiladas with red sauce and it just tastes authentic and home made. It was delicious! We are huge fans and would recommend this place to anyone!

Overall good food. Their rice and refried beans are above average. I typically get a carne asada burrito, which is delicious. Their chorizo con huevos is also quite tasty. Parking and seating is fairly limited, so it may be difficult to find a spot during busy hours.

Tasty authentic Mexican food. The flautas platter is my favorite. Amazing salsa...and Im picky about salsa. Quite busy around lunch and dinner times, you may have a brief wait for in-house seating...or a brief wait in line for takeout. Tables are full service.

The staff and management are so nice and try to make every one happy. But, they are lacking in education when it comes to food allergies and contamination. Also, the "vegetarian" options still contain chicken broth. Food is good and cheap, though.

The pico de gallo that came with the chips was good. Apart from that it was pretty disappointing. The carnitas had an almost gelatin texture and the chips were so hard they were almost painful to eat. At least its not too pricey.

A few years ago I heard that this place had the best Chili Rellenos but was too crowded to get in to try them. They opened a new location and we got to have dinner Saturday night. Wow! Wish we hadnt had to wait this long.
