Good place to have breakfast. My wife and I have stopped by several times after church. It is very crowded in the weekends and there is usually a little wait. There is some outdoor seating available. Service is good and you can have as much coffee as you want after you order a cup. I usually one of their scrambles and have it customized for me. The food tastes good. The seating inside is a little cramped but it doesnt bother me. What I also like about this place is that they have adorned the wall with very old nostalgic photos of the San Jose area.

Amazing Waffle sandwich (not actually a sandwich)! It comes with butter that is out of this world, the waffle (which must include the butter in the mix because they come out amazing every time), the best sausages that you cant find anywhere else around town, and eggs that are always cooked to perfection. Excellent service and excellent food every time! Depending on what day/time you go, be prepared for a wait (which is a good sign that this place is good, and, actually, it is how I originally found it by seeing the line).

Great family atmosphere, excellent cafe food. Their breakfast comes in good portions and is served by friendly folks. They have the standard cafe lunch items, but they also have some with a twist. All are good. You might even notice that there are some employees that are related to each other (mother-daughter), and you get the feel that the employees really care about the business and their customers. Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

I tried this place out on a Sunday about 10:30 and waited about a half hour before they called my name. I was seated inside which was really noisy and stuffy. I had the french toast sandwich with eggs and bacon. Nothing I ate had a lot of flavor except the grapefruit juice, which I liked a lot. The service was really good but all the servers seemed really stressed out. I dont really get what justifies the wait here.

Adorable, proper diner. The exterior, in a somewhat dingy strip mall next to Goodwill, looks a little forbidding, but once you go in you see a bustling staff, heaping plates of excellent diner food (made with fresh ingredients, not too greasy), and almost always, magically, just one open table for two. This has become our favorite brunch spot.

Delicious! And wonderful service! I just finished eating here a 12:53pm. The food was absolutely fulfilling, and our waiter was this nice old man that mustve been working as a waiter for a long time, very polite and quick for his age, and the wait for the food was not at all long. Highly recommend! Great on almost everything!

This place is very nice and clean. Seating is available inside and outside. Service is great and unbelievably fast, at least thats the way it was for me. Food was very good and portions are giant. Depending on the how big of an eater you are you should consider splitting portion Im going to people.

great food, great service. i prefer cafe san joses pancakes over holders and cup and saucer. huge menu of classic lunch and brunch items. the benedicts are wonderful, and i love my country/home fries/house potatoes nice and cruncy. the specials are often interesting.

Solid breakfast. I especially recommend the Slims breakfast. At $6.99 it is one of the best deals on the menu - pancake, 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips. That said, you should upgrade to a banana-walnut pancake. It is definitely worth it and one of the best Ive eaten.

The food was excellent and even ordering something off the menu turned out very well.The service was friendly and one guy named Will pours the water from almost 3 ft above the glass. Entertainment with some minimal skill that made it breakfast enjoyable.

Used to eat here, until the owner Sandra was disrespectful to me and my family. We will not be back! Went to Bills Cafe instead was treated with respect and the food was awesome. Sandra, thanks for turning us off to your establishment!

Dont miss this place. We are breakfast snobs and this is a place we would go out of our way to go back to. Huge portions. Our fav is the hash brown skillet with chorizo added. Yummy! Their salsa is great so ask for extra.

Cafe San Jose is one of the best places to grab a high quality breakfast. The pancakes are light and fluffy - Id suggest the Short Stack is enough for most people - and their "scrambles" are the best around.

My favorite place to eat in San Jose! Try their Irish scramble. Its scrambled eggs with jalapeños and feta cheese and its amazing if you also order tortillas and eat it with the Irish scramble.
