Awesome sandwiches. I mean AWESOME! They smoke their meats right outside and you can smell the deliciousness from down the block. Try the smoked meatloaf, its out of this world. The owner is a super-cool guy who gets to know his customers. Theyre always busy so you can call your order in ahead of time. A word to the wise: get a "junior" size sandwich if youre not a lumberjack or steel worker. The "regular" has put me in many a food coma. If you do go for the regular size, skip breakfast first. As for the grocery, all I can say is that they carry a pretty good selection of craft beers like Knee Deep and the like. I appreciate that they know the difference between good beer and great beer. I went here on the recommendation from a friend. I was in the mood for BBQ. Arrived and was excited to see they were serving Brisket that day. I love Brisket. So my girlfriend, her Son and I all ordered the Brisket plate. That was a mistake. I have never had a Brisket that had no flavor. This was completely flavorless. So I added the BBQ sauce thinking ok maybe this place has good BBQ sauce. NOPE. The sauce was sour and powdery. Not good at all. The sides were no better. Simple Costco bought sides. We will not be back. I see the ratings on google and it makes me wonder. Either people have no idea what good BBQ is or these are all plants.

Man, love this place! They have the best sourdough sub rolls and lot of food for the money. Makes me hungry right now just thinking about it. Service was very friendly when I was there. They even found my keys for me when I lost them in the store. Only downside was they dont have much parking but everything else was great. Will definitely be on my list to stop there when Im in town again.

People were nice, food was good but not anything amazing until it made me sick. Ended up throwing up aa lot of the sandwhich 8 hours later im figuring to food poisoning. Only thing i had after was a bobba drink so i doubt that caused it. I went during the slow time so maybe thats when the food was mishandled? Too bad cause i like this place too. Just beware.

Very delicious subs! The Roxie Special can definitely feed two people, even big ones like me. The kids ham & cheese is quite big, so if your kids are little plan one for two kids. Can get really long lines during peak hours, so I appreciate the ability to call in an order. Looking forward to trying out the online ordering system.

Best Sacramento sandwich place youve never heard of, with rotating BBQ of the day menu. I could go here every day and never get tired of it. Pro tip: add their marinated mushrooms to literally anything. Theyre so good. Seating is limited, so you may want to get your food to go.

Great sandwiches. Had the house smoked tri-tip special with a rootbeer and was completely satisfied. Actually I could barely finish the chips and sandwich. Great smoked flavor with a sweet bbq sauce. Ive only been the one time, but will be back soon for sure.

Best sandwiches in Sac hands down. Everything is BBQd in house. For something different try the Mafia Meatball. Things can get busy around lunch time, but you can always call your order in to save a little time. Love this place!

The most popular food joint in East Sacramento (McKinley area).. Its a little off the beaten path. Careful.. The lines are long during lunch rush and dinner rush but their deli sandwiches are the best in town.

Great sandwich shop with a huge selection of unique chips and drinks. Go with their Roxy Classic (I think thats its name, the one with pastrami) it is great. Staff is also super friendly, always a nice plus.

This place has definitely went downhill. Food is microwaved hot to serve, service is beyond terrible, and even without a line good luck getting out in under 10 minutes. I will not be going back.

Amazing food. Ive been to tons of delis all over Sacramento and this one is my favorite. I have brought friends and family here and everyone has been very happy with their great sandwiches.

Great corner store, but the deli is really why you want to go. Sad there is no gyro here so I go to the R & 15th location but there are plenty of tasty options at both locations

Their sandwiches are amazing! Some of their sides could use a little sprucing up, but we keep coming back! The aroma outside after smoking/ roasting is absolutely amazing!

Everything is great here and its hands-down the best meatball sub Ive ever had! Get it on the Dutch Crunch. =) It is a little expensive for a sandwich, but worth it!

I had a pastrami and swiss on a hard roll and I have not had one as good since I left the Bay Area. Very big and tasty sandwiches. Nowhere to sit though.
