Great for a work lunch. I almost always have the curry of the day, which is good, if a little boring - compare with the Coconut on T. Well priced, large portions, decent salad (for take-out), fast service. friendly staff. Not much else to say really. *** Update Aug 2017 I had the Pineapple Fried Rice dish in the evening and really liked it, so a week later I ordered it as a takeout for lunch. What I got was a congealed mess that I swear was like someones left overs. I ate some but dumped the rest. I went back a few days later and confronted the owner - I told them that the meal they provided tasted off and had obviously been reheated in the microwave. They insisted that it was prepared fresh and that they didnt even have a microwave. I pointed out that the two slices of cucumber served on the side were piping hot! Anyway, I will not be returning. I was just looking for an apology or at best a replacement and got neither. Surely this is Customer Service 101 for restaurants?

What a place. Ive been many times in Thailand and eaten Thai food in US as around Europe. And Ive been at more fancy Thai restaurants. But this is the place Ive been where the food was the best Thai-dining ever. Who would had thought that in a city like Sacremento they could have a restaurant that people could even travel to experience. I had thai beef salad and the beef was perfect. So was the sauce. The salad could had been cut more but the taste was great. My friend had Thai pad and told me it was his best Thai pad ever. For desert we had mango and sticky rice and the mango was just spot on as it should be with a smooth and lovely taste with a tasty sticky rice. The service was good as well and it was good prices. Did not in my road travel "love" the city but I could come back just for this place. 10 out of 10.

This did have excellent food with good presentation, however the food was a little higher on the spice o meter. I love really spicy food, I put crushed red pepper in most dishes, pizza, really anything Italian, hot Mexican, crackers, you get the idea. I asked for my dish medium (pad kee mow and tom kha). They were definitely medium spicy if not downright Thai spicy. With that said, food is great. Nice thick noodles with adequate sauce, Tom kha was really quite great. Nice fresh veggies and smooth yet tangy base. Dumpling soup for two looked great, as did their salads. Try it, youll like it, just watch your corn hole.

Good selection of vegan and conventional Thai foods. Fast, friendly service. Our table ordered four meals, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice with veggies, Thai green salad with fried tofu and Bangkok street noodles. The first two meals were enjoyed by a couple who had never had Thai food before. My wife loved her Thai salad and I really liked the noodle dish. Bangkok seasons their foods on the spicy side. If you wish mild or just milder, ask. They are happy to accommodate. Inside seating only. Wheelchair accessible including bathrooms. Street parking.

I called in a to go order. When I arrived the place was pretty empty (3 tables already served) so I walked directly to the counter. 3 waitresses passed me without acknowledging my presence. As soon as some blond haired lady came in, they rushed to the door to greet her and still I was ignored. I could care less about the taste of the food, bad service is unacceptable. Needless to say I walked out of the place without picking up what I ordered and I not only will never return, but I stop anyone and everyone who will listen and tell them!

I love Thai food and I certainly have my "regular place" that I love the best and compare all others to. This place is 2 blocks from work so I gave it a try. Nice place and fast service during the busy workday lunch. The food was decent and I cleaned my plate. The flavor profiles seemed a little weak or watered down compared to my go to place but like I said my favorite place sets the bar very high! All around this is a decent Thai food place and I will be returning in the future! Its great to have a Thai food option so close to work!

Ive eating a many Thai restaurant and I must say Ive never had Mango curry with Prawns with a little kick to my taste buds! They actually had mango slices in curry. Please try this when you come here. Now I did try the Barbe-que chicken that was there, though it was good it wasnt moving to my soul or stood out!! I was expecting crunchy on the outside then you will use the sauce that comes with it and by GOLLY, youre in Heaven! Check it out and try it.

I think all these reviews are given by the owners themselves. The food is OK. I would not say great to taste. Based on these reviews I ordered a ton of stuff and when I visited the restaurant I observed a strange smell inside the restaurant. Also they have reused some oil and their hygiene is not really great. The next time I would not buy something from a restaurant based on the website or their internet reviews, without actually visiting it.

We were on our Sunday walk and stop in for lunch. The food and service was very good. The menu and price was so Wrong. It was After we ordered we were told the menu did Not reflect what we would get, the price was more as if dinner and the extra of salad and soup that was on menu we would not get. So there was no tip. And sorry for the food was very good.

I moved to Sacramento in 1998 and quickly discovered this place on 12th & I. At the time it was called Amarin Thai, but when they change the name a few years ago, the menu and food all remained the same: superb. The best Thai food Ive had anywhere in the country. I frequent this place at least once a week, sometimes more.

I have been seriously addicted to Drunken Noodles for a bit. I have tried about 20 different Thai restaurants in the Sacramento area. This one has been the best. Perfect amount of sauce, great flavor, just enough noodles to veggie ratio. The only down side was the parking. I will be back for sure.

Wonderful service, awesome food, most places when you order fried rice give you simple fried rice. Bangkok@12 Thai restaurant gives you a delightfully wonderful eating experience exploding with flavors. Parking is tough, but well worth it. Its on the corner of I street and 12th.
