My family and I come here very often and we love it. Tonight we went in and EMILY an employee at this location was very rude. I have 3 kids so I asked her very nicely if I can be seated while my husband gets in line. We usually take turns because my kids are very active they need one of us to sit with them while the other gets in line then we exchange. She said no everyone has to wait in line then they get seated after waiting in line. She obviously THOUGHT I wasnt going to pay. So my husband asked me why I wasnt sitting. I told him "because they think I wont pay" EMILY came to me and said "I didnt say you werent going to pay, stop putting it in my mouth" in front of other customers. I was really offended by her behavior. Then I went to talk to her and clear what I actually meant she ignored me and walked away. She is very unprofessional, rude and racist employee. She was talking about me the whole time with another employee. I will forward this to their main manager. She didnt apologize for her rude behavior.

My wife and I often try to eat a vegetarian or vegan diet for periods of time. Most establishments dont really cater to that type of diet unless you go to San Francisco or Oakland. This is one of the best options for us in the Tri-Valley. The one thing to keep in mind is that this is a buffet. For some reason, people tend to go a little crazy when they go to buffets. Parents, please assist your children. Dont let your kids run around sticking their hands in all the food and making a mess. Adults, please be courteous to others around you. Dont be pushy and aggressive and please watch were youre going to avoid bumping into other people holding a plate of food. Dont worry, they will make more food.

Sweet tomatoes offers a huge selection of carbs for a high price. When you break it all down, Sweet tomatoes is a rip off. Sure the salad selection is off the charts, but past the payment counter, their offerings are lack luster. Plus you have to do all the running around to get what you want. Bread, small no topping pizza, muffins are not my idea of a wholistic healthy balanced meal. Do the math and you too will find this place is a glorified sizzler. Check your local grocery store for a bag chopped salad and a pack of muffins and you will find you wont need to go to sweet potato ( or what ever they named this place) any more!

A vegetarian friendly buffet. This is one of the only buffet restaurants I enjoy. They dont load their dishes with preservatives and they have a nice selection. The salad bar itself is the best Ive seen. It has everything you could want on a salad. Then they have around 5 varieties of soup (at least 2 of which are vegitarian or vegan) a baked potato section a pasta bar (usually 3 varieties) a muffin bread pizza section..yumm. a fruit and dessert section with frozen yogurt machine. They have your standard drinks along with lemonade and chocolate milk for the kids. Definitely a place to bring the family! .

One of the few and best restaurants in the area for vegetarians and people looking for healthy food options. Usually has nice rotating selection of soups and salads. If you feel really hungry theres always a slice of pizza or mac and cheese waiting for you. Kids could always choose a glass of milk or lemonade instead of cola. And if you have a sweet tooth theres ice cream and some sort of cake and mini muffins.

This place offers a great salad selection. Its inexpensive for the volume of food if that is what youre after. Make sure you avoid the mad house atmosphere of lunch and dinner. Best advice I can provide is to visit during the off hours. Just after lunch around 1:30p or early dinner around 4p is best. Otherwise get ready for the boxing match that ensues over the frozen yogurt and pizza squares.

Sweet tomatoes holds so many of my best memories. I highly recommend it as both a family restaurant and a good venue to have business lunches. A generous degree of customization at the salad bar, the soup stand, the bread shop, and the desert corner is just good combinatorics. Its very close and very accessible. Please go and see for yourself! You might even see me there :-)

My favorite place to go to times after work for lunch the one I love to go visit in Pleasanton, Ca.....they have great food especially their salads. I miss putting hard boiled eggs toppings on my salads and I just really hope that theyll still come back with their hard boiled eggs toppings for salads and Im sure most other people miss it too as well ~ Sweet Tomatoes Rock

I love the menu every time my family and I visit Sweet Tomatoes. There were so many salads and soups. The service was very quick as well. I love your soft serve ice cream and the muffins that you bake. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Also, the waiters are very friendly! Thanks for having such a great restaurant!

Many options for your salad. All of the soups were VERY bland, the pasta was sticky and over cooked. Fruit options were very limited (apples and grapes). So if you are looking for more than a green salad you probably what to skip this place. However, if you are looking to build a great green salad with tons of veggies you will be happy.

One of the better buffets. I can easily stuff myself with salad (my favorite is the Wonton Happiness) and soup. Plus, their focaccia bread is so delicious. Make sure you sign up for Club Veg to receive coupons in your email (generally, lunch coupons are $8 or $9).

Somewhat overpriced considering the quality and cost of the foods provided (salad, soup, pasta). Get coupons to reduce the cost. After several visits, this particular location has had difficulty keeping the salad area, floors, and tables clean during busy hours.

The particular night we went was not as on point as past trips years prior. Okay at best.. Lemonade was out, and rasberry ice tea was syrup only. The clean behind on the salad bar, and table clean off was a bit behind what I have experienced in the past.

Nice place, very reminiscent of Fresh Choice in that its a buffet (all-you-can-stuff) with a big salad bar. As a plus, the vegetarian options were clearly marked and the ingredients seemed fairly fresh. I overate, and will definitely enjoy going back.

Wish this place was bigger. It is always busy & crowded, even during lunch and weekdays. A bigger space would resolve this issue. Food is decent and since its always busy youll rarely get wilty salad items or food that has been sitting too long.

Great place for your soup and salad fix not to expensive either. Subscribe to the email mailing list for the coupon and its even cheaper. You can always get a great meal all you can eat. Since its salad I dont feel bad about stuffing myself.

Love the food here. A little loud but still a good atmosphere. Good music if you can hear it over all the noise. Air conditioner makes it to cold for me. Busboys, most of them are on their toes. A few, never clean our dishes until we leave.
