I wish I could them 0 star. We waited almost 1 hour for nihari and biryani. The biryani was cold and rice was uncooked. The chicken pieces were not cooked and still red. When we told him to re-heat it, he brought it back after 10 mins and it still wasnt warm. The nihari was also cold and when he brought it back it looked even worse. The naan was brought before any of the foods so they became cold as well. We ended up returning the food and leaving the restaurant. Im sure we got left overs...dont waste your time!!!

I used to like this place now its going down hill with some of the food! I ordered the other day $30 worth of food and some reason I got sick from rice ( which had brownish seeds in it) I never had it before when I had rice from there. or the odd smelly chicken. Here is the brown seed (I guess) pic! Update I try the leftover rice again its definitely is rice with the little brown/greenish seeds. I had to throw the whole thing away. Waste of money and food!

Not a restaurant for family or friends. The ambiance is very cold. The clientles are mostly uber drivers, taxi drivers, or local homeless community. The food is below standard. The menu price is average but quality is compromised. Restroom is nasty, like visiting war torn country. Serving size are large but not satisfying. If you just wanna satify hunger stop by. Avoid going with family, friends, or work collegues. It will be an embarrassment.

Extremely slow service - Had to wait 20minutes before the waiter showed up to take order. Ordered Karahi and Tikka Masala Chicken - Karahi had the worst chicken which didnt even look like chicken - Till Masala Chicken was too sweet; I got confused if I ordered sweet dish before the main entree. Never going there again. 2stars just for the Gulab Jamun which were overpriced but good.

Best curry Ive had in the US. Had the lamb curry. The curry was not too heavy and very flavorful. The lamb was tender and delicious. Also had the Chicken Tikka which was very good. Staff were very pleasant. Dont be fooled by the people hanging around, they are mainly asian taxi drivers that obviously know good food.

Bad bad bad ...restaurant looks so dirty ...foods is not good .. Id rather eat mcdonalds...the guy in thr front does not know what customer service is...no hi no hello...I got samosa without chutney...and biryani was like they made chicken curry and mixed the rice in it...pluz it was cold...

Pros: pretty good portions Cons: taste, lacked flavor on Lamb biryani, lacked flavor on Chicken tikka Naan was also tough and slightly burned. Overall Oakland has some of the worst Indian food in the bay. This is just another example. Signed from a south Indian who can cook.

decent food for a area and the price. There isnt much else around and it was certainly cheap (I had the lunch buffet) selection wasnt great and some items were somewhat bland but like I said probably one of the better places to eat in the area.

The place was pretty empty on a Wednesday night. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Soo stuffed, couldnt stop eating. Prices are fair. I would go back for sure!
