Used to come to this restaurant many years ago. What a pleasant dining experience with my colleagues last night! The manager was kindly enough to accommodate our group of 10 starving Suzuki music teachers after the 5 hours of graduation concert at Holy Names University by seating us before it was open at 5pm. Friendly staff and manager served us with friendly courtesy and romantic deco. The dishes were very delectable. All of had lovely and enjoyable time and space here. Id love to come back again to enjoy this little restaurant tugged by the little square in Montclair.

Not that this place needs any more raving reviews about how amazing it is BUT...I must say this; you can go many places for five star dinning, but you will not be greated and entertained by the actual owner for the evening. The menu was so original and the food was so perfect. The service was warm, friendly and inviting and the atmosphere was so artistic; casual yet very elegant decor and artwork hanging from the ceilings and the walls. Steve, thankyou for the single most impressive meal weve had on our trip up to the bay.

Had a Valentines Day reservation, but they failed to inform us that they would have a special "Valentines Day Menu" with obscenely high prices which we could not afford. By that time, of course, it was too late to get a table anywhere else. The manager disgraced the word "sorry" with his lack of genuine remorse. I wish I could rate this restaurant less than one star.

Good, but not great, Montclair local eatery. Good menu selections, mostly attentive table services, decent wine lists for offered selections. Food is about average and lacks wow-factor, but with some fine tuning, it could be good or even great. If you dont want to venture out to San Francisco, Oakland or Berkeley, then Italian Colors is your best choice.

Ive been to Italian Colors ten or more times over the years and have always enjoyed the meal and the experience. The last two times were especially rewarding which is why Im now taking the time to write this. Interesting, quality food and a very good value. Bonus for dog lovers, their heated outdoor area is dog friendly.

Highly recommend lunch on the patio! Really nice service and everything we got was really yummy and well-presented. Salmon was excellent. Plus, what is that bread they serve in the beginning...its so rich and yummy I could have kept eating and eating and eating it!!

despite the back lot location -- literally behind a shopping center parking lot -- this is a great place for a large, fresh salad at lunch on the outdoor patio. traditional italian comfort food with large portions in montclair, and yes, there obviously is parking.

Weird restaurant. Seems like they just opened yesterday but I imagine they have been there for a while. Maybe the location is the problem. Mens restroom was in the kitchen. Drinks and food were good. Gnats / Mosquitoes (not sure which) were buzzing around.

We tremendously enjoyed the food and the extremely friendly staff. We travel a lot but we will definitely return to Italian Colors when we visit the Bay area. If you love Italian food, dont hesitate and pay them a visit.

Family environment. Cozy. Great food, good cocktails and the staff are amazing. So attentive and friendly. Lots of regulars so even if sitting at the bar by yourself - youre not by yourself. Patrons are friendly too!

Italian Colors has a 72 hour braised short ribs, rare, succulent, juicy, marvelous, best ever tasted. Discovered this place with this dish offered during a previous Oakland restaurant week promotion in January.

Oh Yum!!! We did not have reservations but they were quick to accommodate us as we prepared to watch a show after dinner. The food superior, the staff was friendly and efficient. We will be back with friends.

Its OK at best. Old setting (feels like a ran down 70s place. Food is 2 stars, not horrible but just not really well made. Exaggerated amounts of food (guess this is good if youre American...).
