オークランドで気になっていたダイナー。 ダイナーと言っても所謂 "アメリカンダイナー" というわけではなく（まあ、アメリカですが。。）、もっと Hip なイケてるカフェレストランという感じです。 休日の 11:30 くらいに着くとすでに満席で外には列が。名前をリストに書きます。待っている間にまわりの雑貨屋さんや家具屋さんなんかを見ているとそこまで店員さんが呼びに来てくれます（すごい）。 30 分ほど待って入店してメニューを見るとどれも美味しそう。。Egg Benedict と Beef Hash を頼みます。 どちらもとても美味しく、味付けもしょっぱすぎず、量も多すぎず少なすぎず、完璧です。唯一の難点が午後 2 時で閉店してしまうというところ。ディナーもやれば絶対はやるのになあと思いながら、お店を後にしました。 次回何を頼もうかな、とワクワクするようなメニューでまたぜひ伺いたいです。

Walked in around 11am on a Wednesday to a half filled dining room. Asked for a booth so we could sit next to each other and was told it was reserved for a party of 4. Even though the rest of the booths had 2 and 3 people. Rude. I will sit where i want. Portions are great. Biscuits were a little doughy in the middle. Flour wasnt cooked all the way out in the gravy. Made it gritty. None of the waitresses have any real sense of order. And my god, stop asking patrons "if everything is okay" while our mouths are full and chewing. Do you really expect someone to answer?

This is a generally good diner. The food is tasty, but they have never had pancakes when I have gone there. How can you be a diner if you dont serve pancakes? They also arent the best for take out because their menu changes but they dont update their website with the new menus. My boss was going to buy us lunch from there one day so he went to pick up a menu a day before. He was told it would be different the next day when we would be ordering. It was too much of a hassle to get 15 a menu so we went somewhere else.

You know theres something worth waiting for when theres a line of people to get in at 8 am on the weekend. Fresh, homemade pastries and biscuits, and just maybe the best breakfast in Oakland (and probably even SF). Highwire coffee in adorable teal mugs! All in all, a huge improvement over the former restaurant here -- cleaner, brighter, lighter, better. Worth a wait, and worth driving out of your way for a great way to start the day.

This place is not just hype. The food is carefully prepared and decently priced. Everything is fresh and visually appealing. The staff is hella friendly; Ive only ever had positive experiences with everyone and weve been there like 20 times. Piece of advice: if youre having breakfast/brunch, get there between 8 am when they open to maybe 8:30 or youll be stuck in the line for awhile.

I love a good breakfast spot. Had high hopes for this one but sadly, totally let down. I ordered biscuit & gravy = bland & flavorless plus beef hash, also bland & flavorless. Thank god for ketchup. I will give it one more try if only bc its so close... Maybe the chef was having an off day. It happens.

Truly great food. Each item Ive had has been as fine an example of its kind as I have ever tasted. The corned beef hash is amazing. The only drawbacks are the wait both for a table and for food once you have ordered. But the food is worth the wait.

Excellent breakfast menu, top drawer baking. Good, friendly service in a comfortable, nicely designed space. Tables and counter service. My waffle and sausage couldnt have been better, and my companion thought her corned beef hash was delicious.

Food ranges from well-done classic American breakfast (great biscuits) to fresh takes on the meal. All solidly executed, great chicken sausage too. Solid, friendly service. Only thing to watch for is that they have no espresso machine.

We had a really lovely breakfast. Our waitress Augusta was really helpful, had some great recommendations, and was really really sweet. The food was delicious and the coffee was great. The fresh squeezed orange juice stole the show.

A great new spot! Super cute with its classic diner atmosphere and delicious eats! Must have the homemade biscuit with homemade strawberry jam, sooooo gooood! I only wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often!

Great food and awesome service! I sat at the counter and never had to ask for anything, the whole staff worked together and was on point as well as wonderfully welcoming. Get there early as this gem fills up quick!

Loved the savory green salad with the hash fries. The spinach mushroom scramble was delish. The pecan roll hit out of the oven was great. And the wait wasnt too bad on a busy Sunday.
