they must use MSG (NOT) or something, it is STILL the dawg and awesome Fast Food and the Driv Thru too! I miss the Turkey Tacos now replaced by the chicken bit tacos. I GO FOR THE CORREGATED FRIES (Ribbed, or whatever you want to call them) ALWAYS HOT, ALWAYS GET THE BIG GULP CUP (MACHO FRIES-comes in a large cup with a hole in the bottom, so as to NOT get Salty Soda in it afterwards-LOL), The Fries are just the bumb, yeah, I didnt say it guys. BUTT, they are! TASTES GREAT! Of Course, the Del Meat Burrito is the Go To after the large fries. Use to get up in the middle of the night to the 24hr one just to get DEL TACO FRIES!. Yeah, not too many any more, Diff names for their food now, but expanded menu and still SERVES BURGERS TOO! Inexpensive and the one by OAK has WiFi, better than other locations in that respect. Tight parking lot, buy most have always been that way. Tastier than the T Bell. The cheese is real and I pay for more or at least ask for it. I am talking decades of visits here, it makes mistakes like ALL fast food drive throughs, but they will correct if you dont go all the way back to work or home. One thing they need to start, HELLO ORANGE COUNTY LAKE FOREST, is Make an APP and make the Mgr. accept the On The Phone Coupons NOT PRINT OUT. always pisses me off driving over miles and miles to get to one. But their food is always worth it. I only put ketchup on their beef tacos, something about it, maybe its the sugar in the ketchup. But darn good with the fresh lettuce they cut up and cheese!

By far the best fast food in California!!! One cannot compare Del Taco to Taco Bell, Del Taco is in a league of its own! Where else can you get full on great quality food for less than 5 bucks? No where!!!! My favorite is the Taco Tuesday and Taco Thursday, as well as their 99 cent Bean Burritos with red or green sauce which you can get any day!!! For an additional fee you can make the burritos "bold" which means they put French Fries and sour cream inside, may not sound like your thing but give it a try! I am from SoCal and I moved up here a few months ago and I think the most depressing thing about my move was not just moving hundred of miles away from my family to a place where I know no one, but that the closest Del Taco to me is 25 minutes away!!!! I dont know why that is and I will make the drive because Del Taco is worth it, but I would love it if they built a Del Taco in Sunnyvale! Del Taco is where its at!!!!

Del Taco is kind of thin on the ground in Northern California, and odds are if youre looking for it you already know it and either prefer it to Taco Bell or want a change or a nostalgia fix. if you dont know it, its inexpensive Americanized fast-food Mexican ala Taco Bell (a real taqueria this is certainly not) but with better quality and a slightly less gimmicky menu. Also, perfect college food -- the 3-for-$1.49 value tacos on tuesdays (99c back in my day) As for this location, the staff is pleasant, its kept clean, and its rarely crowded. Pretty much a straightforward fast-food experience, and 5* by that standard.

I gotta say, this is a great fast food restaurant!!! My favorite item on the menu is the Chili Cheddar Fries. They make this very yummy. It reallly fills your stomach! But for me, I like to order extra cheese and extra chili on top :) The employees are very nice.About once a month, I come in and they already know what I wanna order!!! Ive tried Carls Jr. Chili Cheddar fries before but they arent as great. Overall, this is a great fast food restaurant, and the best item on the menu is their Chili Cheddar Fries! You gotta try them out :D

I was hungry and decided to have some nachos and burrito at del taco. It was Saturday night at 12:15 am means saturday night and sunday early morning. I reached the newark location at 12:20 am. I was very surprised to see that del taco was closed. All lights were off and and noone replied to drive thru for 10 mins. The website as well as posted hours state that it closes at 1am on saturday night. Seems like franchised owner is either irresponsible himself or does not pay attention to staff activities. Dissatisfied.

First time at this location but been to Del Taco in south. And since 1 of my friends introduced me to it I share with people that their soft chicken tacos is good. Have yet to try anything else cause its difficult to stray from something you like ehehe. My friend puts it as the mexican version of Taco Bell lol.

French fries and tacos in the same meal? Yes please. They are generous with the cheese portions on the tacos and have crinkle cut fries. The lines in the parking lot are kind of like playing roulette... I have no idea which set is the correct set and just hope I get it right each time I have to park there.

I really enjoyed eating at this location. The food is great here, the tacos are put together nicely with lots of cheese. The staff is friendly and the dining area is also kept very clean. I look forward to eating here again.
