There are many ice cream spots throughout northern California but few does it right like Treats! I came here about a year ago and tried the ice creams and boy when they say Mint chocolate chip, they ACTUALLY mean mint chocolate chip! They used to have a very small shop in downtown way up in a small alleyway. So small that you used to accidentally hit things with your butt. Now Im all in favor of hitting things with my butt but not in a store, I like to do that when no one is watching. Anyways that is a tale for another review. Treats moved down to another location which is huge, probably ten times as bigger than their old store! Plenty of place to enjoy ice cream with your friends and family! There are many flavors here and I ordered a couple and taste tested a couple others! Basil- Yes it literally tastes like the plant so for those of you who cant get enough of that basil goodness, this one is for you! Honey vanilla- A old time classic with real honey that gives it a welcomed twist! Jasmine-Yes, it tastes as if you took a jasmine flower and stuffed it into your mouth Mint chocolate chip-Chocolate chip with real tasting mint! Its not that artificial tasting mint but the mint plant taste! Saffron rose Pistachio- This is a delectable that only pistachio lovers will enjoy! It tastes like a rose with real pistachio flavoring! By the way they do have a pistachio only flavor for those of you who would like to take a pass on the saffron rose flavor. Butter pecan- Yes this is the bomb, sweet and savory just like a butter pecan pie! They have many more flavors including gelato. Although the price is kinda expensive, it is worth it because these flavors are unlike any other flavors that you will find. Not only flavors, but flavors that actually taste like flavors they are supposed to taste like! They also have baked goods ready to grab on the go which includes muffins, peanut butter cookies and a couple other ones! But be aware even if this place is good, you have to be ready for the long lines that somehow appear out of nowhere!

Lovely little place for a treat. They use Strauss ice cream, and made in-store waffle cones / bowls. Many flavors - regular, vegan, and sorbets. The toddler cone is super cute, and the perfect amount of treat for the littlest ones. There are a few very small tables that can seat about 8 people, perhaps across 3 parties, total. The shop was constantly busy while we were there, but the wait never seem to be very long. If you mention you have nut allergy, they are very careful with explaining how the safest bet is their unopened ice creams in the back since those have not been touched by shared ice cream scoopers (which are all cleaned in the same tub). That shows care, and knowledge on the staff and it is so appreciated!

Treats is THE place to go for ice cream in Nevada City. If you have the chance, stop by to try any of their flavors. The ice cream is handmade and some of the flavors incorporate local produce. They also have vegan and dairy-free options. The flavors of the ice creams are incredible. Try bing cherry! These ice creams are the best way to end any meal or a late afternoon treat. The scoops are generous, too. They are on the side road across from New Moon and Sopa Thai and parallel with Ikes Cafe. Just go. Youll be happy you did!

Drove all the way from Auburn for the vegan ice cream. Ordered the large size but was given the super small because the ice cream was hard to scoop and the attendant was getting tired. Not the best service, disappointed, and have decided to never visit again. They can really learn from Little Mans Ice Cream in Denver, CO. I would recommend just buying Vixen Kitchen paleo/vegan ice cream rather than selecting this establishment.

Not to be missed. Ice Cream flavors made onsite and with locally sourced deliciousness. Peach tastes like a fresh peach. Dreamy Creamy pistacios chocolates, perfect traditional flavors, and so many inventions too! Been here a few dozen times and no one has ever been unhappy with their choice. Lots of Vegan options from coconut ice cream, sorbet, and bars. These folks are ice cream flavor geniuses!

This is not a safe space for children with anxiety. Its small, loud, & the staff was not accommodating to my patient needing kid. We waited in line as she got the courage up to order & the server took the order of a person who cut in line. This was too distracting to gain her confidence back to order. Sad kid, disappointed mom. Hope to see some patience & organization for this business.

We visit treats at least once a week. The ice cream is delicious! And the staff always pleasant and helpful. Our favorite ice cream scoopin gal is Sarah, she always has a smile & makes visiting Treats all the more fun. Try the Bittersweet Chocolate! Its worth going everyday! ;-)

We love this place! Try the salted caramel gelato, or, frankly, anything else they make. We just delivered some of our Blue Newt Berries (raspberry and blackberry) for their Treatsicles, so look for them at the Saturday Farmers Market.

Always amazingly fresh icecream with innovative and delicious flavors! I try a new flavor each time I come. So far have loved the saffron pistachio rose and jasmine flavors. Staff are always so friendly and pleasant. A true treat :)

We had 3 flavors served for my sons wedding with 150 people and EVERYONE was thrilled with the flavors (mint chip, honey vanilla, bittersweet chocolate). THIS is what ice cream should taste like. What a perfect dessert for a wedding!
