This is a place whos owner is not respecting at all the rights of people with a service dog! California and Federal law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs to all public places. Among these laws are the California Disabled Persons Act (CDPA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). California law guarantees people who use trained service dogs full and equal access to public places. Period. Its not a choice. Its not in the discretion of the owner. Its a right protected by law! In California, the service dog guarantees apply to a broad range of public places, including any place to which the general public is invited (including restaurants, hotels, theaters, shops, concert halls, and government buildings). Clocktower Coffee is as such a public place as defined by the law. Public places must allow persons with disabilities to bring in their service dog and, if necessary, they must modify their practices and to accommodate the dogs. The public place cannot even require a person to "prove" that their dog is a service dog. Having said that, the owner even didnt bother to ask me about my service dog. I pointed out to him that this is the law he needs to honor even if he do not like dogs in his coffee shop. He was rude and disrespectful and ignored the law. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who has a service dog or who appreciates the service dog laws which are made for a very good reason. Roman

Why does this place have 4 starts I wonder - I was standing in the line and the barista took my order ahead and made the drink. By the time I got to the register my drink was ready, and I offered to pay using credit card. Unfortunately their system is down and they only can take cash... and I didnt have none (like millions of others now a days) at that moment. In such case, any one with a little courtesy will offer the drink on the house - but not the one across to me that day.. she simply took the drink back, and I had to leave without my coffee that was already made, never to return again to this stupid place.

I have traveled the world and I am a coffee lover. I was able to get a sneak peek behind the scenes at this awesome coffee shop and can say that Clocktower Roasting is top notch. It was Nice, Neat, Clean & organized and well taken care of. Then I tasted the coffee and I was not surprised that it was merely good but I was utterly impressed that is was absolutely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this coffee anytime you are in the San Francisco San Jose Area. 5 STARS!

If you want great coffee, enjoy a pastry and perhaps visit with friends or do some work, this is the place to go away from home. The staff remembers your name and always greets you with a smile. They have free Wi-Fi and a Conference room fully equipped with chalk boards, kitchen and ample seating for a reasonable fee if you need it, at their other location. (Just down the block) It is dog friendly too. What more can you ask? So you just cant miss going to the Clocktower.

I love the baristas working there, they are very nice. That said, Im not very impressed with the drink offerings, the way my orders are made, and the prices. I always ask for drinks with less sugar, and each time Ive ordered there, the drinks are always way too sweet. Besides my pickiness, the place is great - lots of seating, good Internet, lovely lovely baristas, relatively quiet spot to work. Also some of the savory food items are great (albeit pricey).

Local coffee shop that offers all the expected drinks the chain shops have. I like that they have all these little non-coffee related items for sale including wall art from local amateur artists. Coffee is ok, not great but the people are nice, the shop is inviting and its good to support a neighborhood business.

Apart from the fact that there is an Ingress portal here they also make a delicious pumpkin spice chai latte, and they have a tasty cranberry muffin. I understood from my coffee drinking friends that their coffee is quite palatable as well. There is sufficient seating, although their restroom is often out of service.

I stumbled upon this place on a recent visit to Mountain View. Its nice to find a good coffee option without going to the downtown area. Nice coffee and excellent carrot cake. They have good seating (and a strange little shop). Ill definitely check them out again if Im in the area.

I like that place specially because its close to my apartment. The lattes are good, the smoothies too. Not fond of their pastries though. I like the atmosphere in this coffee place. Its usually quiet and a nice place to study/read or chat with a friend.

This is the best kept secret in the neighborhood! Super friendly and helpful staff, GREAT coffee/espresso, clean...quiet enough to work too...and even fun little gift shop with unique artistic items! (Could use a few more plugs ;-)

Sweet Coffee Roastery around the corner from the German International School of Silicon Valley. The coffee is good, so is the pastry, and they have a nice collection of pretty things on sale, too.

One of my favorite non-chain neighborhood coffee shops. The servers are friendly and the shop is cozy and cute. Lots of great gifts if youre on your way to a birthday party (or any party).

Went in the afternoon and got a milkshake and to use the wifi. Shake was good but couldnt connect to wifi, ended up sitting outside and using a mobile hotspot

Good coffee, good atmosphere. Owner and staff are great; youll feel more at home at a local establishment like this than you will at any Starbucks or Peetz.

Its a good place to have a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The only problems are: you need a password to access WiFi and no restrooms.

Coffee is OK but a bit overroasted. Very pleasant coffeshop, full of light, in a quiet mall. Wifi is pretty bad (usually not working).

Certainly the best coffee anywhere around, friendly staff and fair prices. The pastry is also awesome and there is free Wi-Fi.

Always busy in summer and not easy to get a table during lunch hours. I like the coffee over here than at starbucks or peets.

Our favorite coffee place. Relaxed atmosphere, tasty coffee. The only drawback - they close at 7 (BTW, why?).

Pretty terrible cappuccino. Overfrothed and terribly hot. Served in a paper cup even after ordering for here.
