The mango and avocado salad was as great as it always is. I have been to this restaurant many times and always been happy with the quality of the food. Today we then ordered a roll and it had a fishy taste and smell to it. When the waitress was notified she seemed to be confused as to how to rectify the problem. I asked if the owner, who I recognized from previous visits, would take a look at the plate to see if I was correct about the smell and taste. I was told that particular roll we had ordered was fishy, What?? What I thought should have occurred was the dish should have been immediately removed from the the table and another offered. I was told the owner would be notified but he never showed up at your table. The server seemed to be taking care of the problem by doing nothing. It left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. When the owner and his wife work together service is great and food has been very good. They were not both there today.

Usually the best fish in town. Buttery salmon, great yellowtail. Friendly staff. Only problem Ive ever had was timing and language barrier. One of the regular chefs is lovely but nods as if he understands or says yes to a question and then you get the wrong thing or find youre overcharged because the item wasnt on the happy hour and he said it was. Often, when in a group the timing is terrible. The chefs should know what fish to send out first.. delicate fish flavor before heavy rolls. Also, making sure each person in the group gets something they ordered rather than one person getting everything before pals even get one dish. This is the only sushi place thats ever been an issue.

Not even 30 people and the workers are backed up with stuff. A gentleman came up to their waiter asking "do you need help, because weve been waiting on our two beers for 10 minutes." I ordered Popcorn Lobster and took them 20 minutes to bring me my food. What was worse when my sister next to me ordered Dragon roll took them 25 minutes. For a restaurant that houses 77 people and five chefs they take their sweet time putting the food together. I expect food a bit faster because half the food doesnt need to be cooked.

Pros- Great sushi! Definitely will come back here. Love the newlocation/ place; will accomidate for more people. Cons- Overly staffed.... Went in for dinner around 6pm on a Sunday and most of the staff was either standing around talking to each other or hovering over the tables... Example- they provided us a water jug for us to refill our waters (which is great) but then several times we were interrupted by the waiters reaching over us to fill our glasses... and they werent even half empty...

This was our first time dining here. My husband decided to book a reservation for Valentines Day. The ambience is very nice and cozy. The music was just right. The food was delicious and the service was awesome! Our server Dom "aka Vin Diesel" was the best! She was professional and sweet. She even took the time to show us how to prepare our food. We will definitely return for more!

One of my favorite sushi places. Simple plates, elegant presentation, VERY fresh ingredients and taste. Not quite as filling as some places (rolls can be narrow) but well worth it. The avocado salad is amazing, and I love the Viper and Las Vegas rolls.

Wow, such a treat. This food was delicious, well prepared, and service was quick and friendly. It was more on the traditional side style of Japanese, not the watered down cheap American style. Probably best sushi weve had in Ventura county so far.

I go as often as I can. The fish is always fresh and the food is very consistent. Best sushi in ventura county in my opinion. The Ramon is a must try!!

By far the best sushi in Moorpark. Have tried the other places and they dont compare!! Mon & saturday buy 1 large beer get the next for $1.
