The pans are good so are the drinks but the tamales are terrible, I purchased a dozen this morning, first of all they gave me the incorrect amounts of the red and cheese, when I got them home I cooked up some eggs to serve with the tamales and though Id heat up the cheese tamales I nuked them for over one minute because the cheese was not melting, then my son come into the kitchen and said that the cheese taste like rubber and nasty. Anyone knows that teal cheese melts in less than one minute, my microwave is powerful and heats quickly. I took the tamales back and will never buy from that place again. Also when I went into the bag looking for my favorite pan the server gave me the wrong one. The men in there just dont seem to work the place like the women used to. Dont plan on returning anytime soon.

You will not go wrong with the pan dulce at this place. If you go early in the morning, especially on the weekends, you will wait. Holidays, oh...youll wait. The best here are the tortugas (turtles), cuernos de canela (cinnamon horns) and conchas (shells). My wife loves the empanadas de calabaza (pumpkin empanadas). The bólios, Mexican rolls, are also top notch and come crispy or soft. There are other varieties that you can choose from so please, have at it. Ive seen reviews for other items like cafe de hoya or even the tamales. These are specialty items and I dont recommend you order anything outside the specialty from any vendor. Same goes here. The champurrado is fairly good here but again just stick to the pan dulce. You wont go wrong.

Terrible food!! I heard great things about the tamales so I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately I was sorely disappointed!! The tamales are commercially made (opposed to hand made) using a fake rubber like cheese and a weird purée salsa. I didnt even finish the whole thing but it still made my stomach hurt. The champurado was mediocre but the pan was pretty good at least. Will not be returning

Very good pan dulce very authentic . What I like is that it has little pieces of cinnamon lots of places have pan but if you dont have cinnamon in it its not the same. The tamales are nasty they were good in the past but not no more. If you are looking for good tamales I will recommend Lillianas in ELA on Cesar Chavez . There might be a line but its soo worth it.
