85 Degrees has delicious food and drinks, but their service and management leave a lot to be desired. I usually come here on a weekend morning when I dont feel like making breakfast. The selection of pastries is inconsistent. Some mornings Ill see chocolate croissants and on other days, not a single one is put out. On my most recent visit, I saw more empty displays than Ive ever seen. The most frustrating aspect is the slow line and lack of response by management when the store is busy. I rarely see more than one person ringing up orders and when the worker has to wrap every pastry, the wait is even longer. People in line are struggling to hold up their filled trays as they wait for one employee to wrap 20 individual pastries (come on, just put them in box like donuts). Theres also a seemingly minor issue that shows the lack of proper management. One of the double doors has always been locked during business hours and its the one that people usually open as they enter, if theyre right handed. Several months, I politely asked an employee why the door is locked during business hours and he said the lock is broken, so its always locked. The door is still locked today and I often see people try to open it going in and out. Over the double doors, theres a sticker that says "THESE DOORS MUST REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED."

Ok, I did a little research on this place and the name 85 c comes from 85 degrees being the perfect temperature to drink coffee. The founder was inspired by a 5 star hotel cafe. It was very expensive and he wanted to open a business with affordable pastries for the commoners. I would like to thank him. I fell in love with this place. Its pleasing to the soul. My girlfriend started me with this addiction. She brought me some pastries for lunch one day. I took a trip and she brought me like 10 different pastries to take on the plane. My phat a** ate all of them. Everyone of them were made with quality ingredients and yummy goodness. I would highly recommend this place for a first date. Its cheap, variety of tasty pastries, sweets , coffee, tea and a lot of people are there. Just in case you met them on Craigslist. Please try the Sea Salt Mountain green tea. So delicious.

This place is a desert lovers paradise. You start smelling the goods even before you enter the doors. The stars of this bakery is of course the baked goods. The breads are so moist and flavorful. The cold/frozen good are also good but the selection is very limited in comparison to the hot baked goods. The drink selection is really big too. They have teas of varying flavors, smoothies, and I believe coffees. You also have an option to put booba in your drinks if that is what your into. I guess the only real down side to this bakery is the sheet amount of plastic they use. They wrap each individual item in its plastic bag then in turn they place everything in a larger plastic bag. I feel extremely bad about it so I try to ask them to limit the use.

Great coffee and pastries! The service however is kind of hit or miss. More often than not I run into workers who dont know how to manually input a credit card when it doesnt swipe. Ive had guys that have done it manually with no problem so I know its possible at these locations. One girl almost canceled my entire order (until I insisted she call a manager who handled it) and just now I had to use cash because the guys didnt know how to input manually, and not making any other effort to either. This is a small mark off to an otherwise nice place. But it begs the question, do these people really know what they are doing? The restrooms are always clean. The drinks and food are really good.

One of my favorite places to get bread from (bread lover here) their selection of types of bread and flavors as well as their cakes are amazing. Last time I came here I was on a rush to work and they didnt have my favorite bread out in their containers so I asked an associate if they have anymore in the back and was told it might take a few more minutes. I had to leave so got in the line. As I was waiting to be rung out, the fella that I talked to came out rushing with fresh hot bread of the one I wanted and came straight to me with the whole batch. (made me feel like they value me as a customer) thanks to young man whose name I didnt get.

I love the bread they have but, my three starts are not for the bread, but for the staff. Specially Manager staff dont show a friendly face. You do not feel welcome by both managers. They open at 7:00am but little choice of bread at that time. They should have more choices early before they open. Sometimes when really busy and just one cashier attending. Twice Ive been there with a long line just to find out the coffee machine was broken.

Great place to get various pastries. If youre lucky, they will bring out the baked goods fresh while yelling out what they have - a fun spectacle to witness. There are two separate lines, one for the pastries and one for the drinks. The pastry line normally is longer, but moves quickly. Grab a tray and load up your goods, or head to the drink line and order the honeydew milk tea with a slice of cake. All very delicious.

Drinks are extremely slow and the lines get pretty long for the bread cashiers too. If you try to place an order with the cakes and drinks only section, you may be waiting a while before someone helps you. This is your typical 85 though with all the standard 85 degrees offering of Chinese bread, desserts, cakes and drinks, which are all pretty good, especially if you get it fresh out of the oven.

Everything was tasty, but service was a little bit rude. They messed up our order, so I thought the next one coming out was mine, and the guy said, "we already called your order" in a bit of a sassy tone. Obviously I was aware of that, I was simply waiting for my correct order to come out... Not a huge deal, but just a little off-putting.

Prices for drinks are slightly lower than other larger chains. The wait for drinks can get pretty long during peak hours so you should order the drink first at the drink station and then shop at the bakery section. The bakery has a good selection and 85 regularly adds an item or two every so often.

I really like frequenting this bakery, their breads are fresh made throughout the day so you wont feel like you have to be an early bird to get the good breads. They also have a variety of cakes, desserts, and best of all teas (and boba!) and coffee. This is a must try and free parking~

Get the Iced Sea Salt Coffee. Its really really good and cheap. The large is only 3.50. Fresh baked goods are yummy as well. I like to go when its a little busy to ensure the bread is rotated out as it sells. If you go whenever it is slow, they dont bake as much.
