The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smiling helpful woman who answered all of my questions with patience and kindness. We had a slightly odd photo that we wanted put on the cake (a YouTube screen shot of a viral video) and we were worried the image would not be high enough quality. But she just told me to email it to her and when I ran out to get cash (cash only establishment) she had already uploaded the photo to check it for quality and assured me itd work just fine. Awesome. Great. But then there is the whole part about the cake being good. Ive ordered cakes that have looked great and tasted store bought. But this cake!!!! Was. Amazing. Seriously. One of the best tasting cakes Ive ever had. It was SO moist. And the custard filling was a perfect combo to the marble cake. The icing was delicious too. Often times I find icing too sweet and scrape most of it off. But theirs was not too sweet at all. It was soft and fluffy and delicious. Very pleased with my experience here! Cant wait to need more cake.

Bad experience. We bought a couple of cake slices; mediocre to say the least. The cheese cake is store bought at any super market. The mango moose, the chocolate moose tasted bland. The cash only is only so they can cheete you out of your change. Then deny that they dont remember you. Never going to this place again. If you value your $ and your taste buds go to a real bakery.

A neighborhood bakery that stood still while competitors all upped their game with interesting ingredients and aesthetic. Bake goods are competently made but judging by what I saw and tasted, I must wonder if a properly trained Baker is on staff. Just not sure Ruby has enough to compete in gentrifying neighborhood like Eagle Rock.

Had the cream puff filled with real whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar and it was quite scrumptious! My friend also got a strawberry cake for less than $20. Cash only, but Chase and Bank of America are within walking range. Walgreens is less than a block away if youd rather do cash back shopping.

I ordered a "under the sea" cake that they advertised, just to be told that i need to get the seashells. I only got it because that is what my daughter wanted. It looked great and every one loved it but why advertise a cake you cant make??
