If you are a Disney fanatic or enjoy the old soda fountain retro feel, then this place is your place! Around the Halloween season they have a pumpkin pie flavored ice cream and its DELICIOUS! The kids sandwich is cut in a mickey mouse head shape, so are the waffles (they are actually made that way) and the bread bowl is carved out and presented in the shape of mickeys head as well! Depending on how the business is, it can either be really good or sorta bad. When its really busy, the service takes a while, especially when its short staffed. When its slow (around opening, inbetween movie showtimes, near closing time, rainy days) then step in, be seated, and expect lots of fun. the presentation of each item from the menu is delicately configured and seems a little bit cute. Mickey Mouse Masterpiece is $30 yeah, but its a lot of ice cream. you get a cute button for finishing the whole thing. And if its your birthday they sing a song! I live in Hollywood so I come here all the time! Its fantastic! While you are waiting for your meal there are photos of all the different celebs that came posted up on the walls with autographs. Its so much fun looking at all the people who went there. Currently there are coupons that the El Capitan are handing out to people who purchase movie tickets that take $5 off $20+ purchases.

I took my Mom here for her birthday after seeing Nightmare Before Christmas next door. My husband and kids were along as well. Horrible service, rude service. Also we had precalled and checked online. Our heart was set on Mickeys Masterpiece. I was told prior that it would be available with no problems. We get there to be told it was changed. You took away the options of choosing our flavors, took away the pin prize, took away the cute serving dish AND jacked the price up &10. It was not what we had come for. Not what we told my Mom her birthday dessert would be. Not what I was told on the phone beforehand. We also told my Mom to have a seat while we were in line to order. An employee saw her sitting with no food and told her to leave the area. She is handicapped with a cane. I spoke with the manager about the dessert we came for and what I was told prior. The manager said "Too bad" and then turned around to do something else. I am so not happy over this! We will never return. I will tell everyone I know about the time Disney Soda Fountain didnt do my Moms birthday justice. And how Disney does not care, except when it comes to bilking people out of money and giving grouchy service in return.

This place is actually pretty sweet! Yes pun intended ;) Just off the walk of fame, next to the El Capitan theatre is the wonderful little stop. Its a great place to sit down and relax with coffee or a sundae, or any kind of ice cream for that matter. Youre greeted with a free piece of chocolate, which is awesome lets be real. And theres all sorts of Disney things you can get here. If youre one of those hardcore pin traders, theres ones here that are themed to the are and you can only get here. In fact they have a special where you can get a sundae with their limited run pin (normally only 300 made) so thats kind of fun! It has that old soda shop counter to order at, and the people watching is always fun. This is a nice place to stop to get a snack, or a gift, and find a seat, if you can actually find an empty one. Also if youre parked across the street in the mall parking garage, you can get your ticket validated here and boom $2 parking!

We purchased a Mickey doll early in the day, walked around town, then saw a movie that night. They made us exit through the gift shop to leave and the security guard accused my wife of stealing the doll. When she couldnt produce the receipt he persisted to fabricate a story about there being two dolls on a display and then one when she walked by. We asked to see camera footage and would be happy to show that we had the doll walking in or during the earlier purchase and he just kept asking for the receipt. We asked to see the manager and he delayed further. After my pregnant wife was bawling her eyes out for ten minutes and my daughter was crying did we finally get a "manager" over. The stress he caused my family, he single-handedly ruined the entire Christmas day out and the end to our week-long vacation. All the happiness from a day at Disneyland and a wonderful week with family and now my wife wishes we never came to California.

We live in the area so we come here quite often. The service is ALWAYS very nice and helpful. I have never had otherwise, so if anyone has something bad to say about that, maybe they have the problem...the ice cream is a little bit on the expensive side, yes, but you are paying for wonderful quality and portions. Ive had everything g on the menu and it is all delicious. Literally all. They have the most delicious hot fudge, which is so thick and rich, and the whipped cream is heavenly. Plus, 99% of the time, someone is there to greet you at the door and hand you a complimentary Ghirardelli square. The flavor varies depending on the season, but they are all delicious. If you come to Hollywood, this is a must place- if you like ice cream of course.

Absolutely delicious. Sure you can come here for some of the Disney memorabilia, but as a fan of chocolate, this place is amazing. Im used to the Ghiradelli at Downtown Disney in Orlando, and this location is just as awesome. As you walk in, theres usually someone to hand out free samples as you browse the different selections. Dont leave without having one of the sundaes. Theyre a bit pricey, but so worth it. Make sure to take some treats on the road with you as well. Such a great experience here.

We just visited the Ghirardelli studio store in Hollywood. We come about 3 times per month. Their greeter AJ, was fantastic. He is always so welcoming and helpful, but today he was particularly knowledgeable in helping us choose the right chocolate gift for someone. We love coming for the products but dont always have the greatest interactions with all the employees; AJ is the exception. He truly brings the Disney magic to Hollywood and to our hearts.

Located right on the Hollywood strip, this sundae shop is also a Disney store. While I generally do not like Hollywood and only get dragged to the strip when visited by friends or family from out of town, I have to say that after finding this I will actually have something to look forward to during these trips. Only four stars because of the locale. Any sundae is a good sundae, provided it has hot fudge.

Out of sorbet. Ordered 2 different drinks, apparently the cashier couldnt understand that. Only charged for 1. Waited forever for that and discovered the mistake. Explained I ordered 2, was told I only paid for 1 and the guy walked off. Never again will ghirardelli get my money. Not that they care. Piss poor customer service.
