The best bagels in Southern California. Im a ex-cab driver from New York City so I love bagels. Whenever I need my bagel fix, I drive miles to get my bagels from the Bagel Shack. My only question is, are the bagels they sell, bagels? Theyre made with flour and yeast and water and theyre round but there the resemblance ends. Theyre not dense or chewy or slightly shiny like NYC bagels. Still, I love them. When I eat them and enjoy them, I feel like a traitor.

Maybe the bagels themselves arent bad but what they do to them is not appetizing. I just got the worst bagel "sandwich" Ive ever had here. Maybe I ordered wrong. I ordered the "Doheny." The open faced bagel itself was cold. It had a couple slices of tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta cheese and was sitting in an inch of cold very vinegary salad dressing. I did not expect this. The coffee only came in styrofoam cups--a turn off too.

I was craving a jalapeño bagel luckily the bagel shack was on my way to my mechanic. I got their basic breakfast sandwich which was delicious, my only complaint is their sandwiches are made too messy especially eggs a big chuck of blob which made it hard to spread throughout the sandwich. Seemed one they must slapped everything on it. Maybe Im a lil ocd, but dont you want to have alk the flavors in 2 bite?

Love Bagel Shack, but for some reason this location hardly ever toasts bagels. Im assuming the just put the toast setting faster because of foot traffic. This location has gotten worse and worse. Save yourself the trouble and the attitude from employees and just go to the one in Capo. The one in Capo is a million times better. And friendlier!

The breakfast Bengals are awesome. I got the lowers and nom nom nom. Everything looks good, great ingredient combos. Not just onions but caramelized onions, its things like that that make this a great morning bite to eat.

Love their bagels. I would get the Uppers with steak, eggs, and pepperjack cheese. They are huge and delicious! The service was also quick, but there isnt much of a waiting area since it is normally packed.

Loved this place til the last few times I visited. This last time 4/4 bagels werent baked through. Dough is sitting in my tummy and I get to go to a wedding today. Should be fun.

Love this place. Best bagels around. Especally love their bagel sandwiches, the Old mans is my favorite. My boys love the toasted cinnamon bagel with cream chesse. Yum!
