I owe the staff a BIG THANK YOU! I have a lot of food sensitivities and I am not the easiest customer but everyone made sure I had a great meal! I am on the low FODMAP diet so they wrapped my burger in lettuce; Not a wilted rotten leaf but a crispy fresh one! I usually eat my burger very well done (I know, its sacrilegious) and this is the FIRST time I did not have to send my meat back to the kitchen for another cooking. My meat came cooked thoroughly but yet so moist and tender... I dont know how they did it! Seriously, I cannot have another burger elsewhere. The peanuts served before the meal were delicious. My husband was fond of his meal and beer as much as I was with mine. OTOH, I am not a big fan of peanut shells on the floor but oh well!... let that be their flaw!

Very poor service, almost totally neglected. Sat at a table, waited 15 minutes, no server approached, neither of the 2 bartenders said anything (except the 1 who, when I asked if he could turn off a fan above our table, said yes). Finally ordered beers at the bar and sat back down. Much later a server came by. Turns out the fan couldnt be turned off, which only came out when we asked bartender #2 (bartender #1 never did anything with our request). I ordered a Cuban sandwich, which wasnt bad, my buddy got a cup of chili - which he said was flavorless and almost completely devoid of meat. Our beers sat empty for a long time before the server asked if we wanted another. We just felt neglected, and it was not very crowded. Wont be coming back.

This is a great local Lake Forest Bar that offers better access to Craft Beers than other larger chain competitors -- Im looking at you, BWW! However, the food menu needs to be re-worked. The Rib Tips had way too much sodium and not tasty at all. The curly fries are decent and so are the salads and nachos, but no matter what the servers say about "our portions are our value", it should be noted that people prefer "value" created by quality and taste and not portions to justify higher cost to the consumer as "created or perceived value".

One of the few bars near the Irvine area, Heroes and Legends seems to have a great variety and array of boozes to pick from. With little qualities such as throwing peanut shells all around the floor, youd think itd be a great place to hang out and relax. Well, it would be, if the food wasnt so terrible. They also have a split plate charge (not listed on the menu BTW). If you come here, expect to spend far more than you thought you would at a tacky bar.

Try the L.A. #19 Pastrami sandwich - its my new favorite. Love the many rotating and great selection of beers on tap, especially the wheat beer / fruity options like the Tangerine wheat. Great rustic/industrial aesthetics with plenty of TVs to keep up with sports. Free peanuts (shells on the floor) are a nice addition while perusing the menu. Portion sizes are very generous so I always have leftovers...

Went last night to catch the MLB AL Wild Card game. Since my wife and I are not big eaters, we decided to split the meatloaf. Even with splitting it, we took home more than we ate. Made for a fine lunch the next day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I dont give 5 star ratings unless something exceeds my expectations and H&L certainly did.

Super cool place, great drink selection. Food was average (they put olives in everything, beware!) and service was extremely slow. There was hardly anyone there! They charged us for a side of buffalo sauce that wasnt asked for when one of our guests ordered the wings... Doesnt make sense. If they improved customer service this place would be fantastic

Im always a bit torn with this place. The pricing will always be a huge gripe for me. The food is good, nothing great and not exactly worth the money; however, you get TONS of fries if your meal comes with it (extra star just for that). The beer selection is the best part about this place, and unfortunately the only reason I keep coming back.

This place has a very large selection of beers on tap, but their prices can be a bit high (depending on the beer you choose). They serve food and always offer you peanuts, so you have something to eat while you drink. Im not sure if they have happy hour, but they dont advertise it, if they do.

This place is a hidden gem! Friendly bartenders. Amazing beer selection (I believe they have 75 taps). The food was delicious. They allow children, but bring something for them to do to keep them busy. Cheap Uber or Lyft from here to anywhere in the Saddleback Valley.

They have great burgers and fries and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff Ive seen have all been friendly and attentive. The pitchers they serve of water and soda are truly fit for a hero or legend! If you get French fries try the curly fries theyre fantastic!

Fairly cozy bar, you are served a bowl of peanuts on arrival and they have a large selection of beer. The peanut shells are discarded on the floor and can make it a bit difficult to walk around but otherwose once seated its not a prpblem. Good place for sports too.

Best American Food with huge portions fit for a king. Asparagus Fries are flavor packed and the waiter Jeremy has excellent service super friendly and helpful.Great place for a good time with friends & family, Definitely coming back highly recommend this place

Plenty of TVs and more than enough beer to satisfy anyone! Everyone working there has generally been super friendly and the food is amazing. Large portions (both food and soda) so feel free to share with you and some friends. Has a great NFL set-up for sundays.

Nice atmosphere. Huge drinks (pop). I did not have beer, but the prices seemed reasonable with large selection. Food was good, onion rings really good. Waiter was attentive. Only compliant, they had Kings (queens) hockey on instead of Ducks hockey.
