If you don’t speak English with native fluency or you don’t command the particular jargon of their menu, stay away from this place. A bunch of teenage cashiers will give you the hardest time if you dare to order a half-size sandwich instead of a medium, or a soda instead of a soft drink; they will save no effort to make you feel inadequate and out of place, only to go back to texting on their cell phones right in front of your face. I have felt bullied twice in this place by some kids who, not only ignore everything about synonyms and behave arrogantly in their ignorance, but also ignore everything about customer service. Starbucks for example uses some proprietary names for the size of their drinks, but if you order a large latte (instead of a Venti), they will just serve it displaying a smile, without making you feel bad or wrong. It feels (at least I’ve felt) that this place is promoting some kind of ‘All-American’ experience in which anyone not fitting is discouraged to come back. And don’t try talking to the owner either; I did, and he made me understand immediately where the problem lies. Much rather than listening (he probably could use some knowledge of the L-A-S-T model: Listen, Apologize, Solve, Thank), he spent the three minutes of our conversation telling me as many times as he could that I was wrong. “You are wrong, you are totally wrong, you are completely wrong, you are absolutely wrong”, probably thirty or more times. I guess he hasn’t heard either that “the customer is always right”. The area in which the restaurant is located is surrounded by a large retiree’s community, many of which are themselves non-native English speakers. I can’t help feeling for them, as they may fail using the right English words or the right jargon.

This was a very pleasant surprise! We first went because we had a coupon. We each ordered the "Hook & Ladder" sub and they were delicious. Two weeks later we returned and I ordered the Turkey & Cranberry sandwich, while my husband ordered another "Hook & Ladder." Again, I was impressed with how much meat there was in the sandwich, how fresh the bun was and overall how good the sandwich tasted. The staff is super friendly, its a very pleasant atmosphere, especially sitting outside. We are definitely putting Firehouse Subs on our list of regular stops for lunch! The prices are reasonable. We like it a lot better than Subway.

I would like to say that the previous reviewer was probably having a bad day and with the location of this place they are a resident of the nearby retirement community. My experience was completely opposite as I found the staff very attentive and professional. The sandwiches are different compared to other sub places and the selection was great. The overall taste of the sandwich was great but I do have to say the sauce was a little heavy and made the bread a little soggy. Next time I will order "light" on the sauce. Price was decent for what you get and I would suggest this place to my friends and family.

I do love the subs here! Very tasty. Friendly staff. Quick service. I am not overly fond of the need for mayonnaise on nearly every sandwich, even the ones with BBQ sauce. Glad you can order the sandwiches without it! There is a rewards program. This is where the star was lost. The staff doesnt seem to know a lot about the program and doesnt tell you if you have a reward available. Otherwise, great place for a very filling and tasty sandwich.

The thing I love most about Firehouse Subs is the consistency of their product quality. My sandwich has never been made incorrectly, and they always come out very fresh, hot and super tasty. That says a lot because Ive easily eaten 100 subs over the years. The big rack of hot sauce is also a really awesome unique addition to their stores. Just dont get a hot sub ordered to go because they steam their meat and your bread will be soggy!

It was my first time at Firehouse Subs and I could not be happier. Clean friendly and the new Kings Hawiian Pork & Slaw sandwich is incredibly delicious. The pork is tender and tasty and paired with the slaw and bun is perfection. Although I dont enjoy the comercials I will be back. Please make this sandwich a regular selection!!!!! Love it!!!!!

You havent had a sub sandwich if you havent been to Firehouse. This place is no joke, the best sub you can get in California. The staff is super friendly as well. The Hook & Ladder, Steamer are 2 of the best subs ive ever had in my entire life. I cannot recommend this place more.

Second visit to Firehouse (first time this location). Got here just in time. As soon as I ordered, the place got packed. Had the Italian Sub. Excellent. Restaurant was nice and clean. Staff very friendly. Looking for a good sub, highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

I bought the turkey sandwich. It comes with bacon, but I wanted avocado instead. Bacon costs $1.24. Avocado costs $1.49. Even though I wasnt getting bacon, they wouldnt charge me the 25 cent difference. It was a full $1.49 for avocado, and then they barely put any on it. Ripoff.

Great sandwhiches, one of my favorite places to go. Replaced Subway as my go to shop a long time ago. Lots of options for sanwhiches, both hot and cold as well as a low calorie and allergen free selections.

Will not be going back, three sandwiches and only one was correct. Bread was dry and I was charged extra for a few veggies added, whats up with that? Not impressed with the price charged, either....
