They just opened...OK Ill be the first to review. Im not sure whether to say I am an ice cream fanatic or and ice cream connoisseur. I love ice cream but I wont just eat ANY ice cream. I only want the best. I didnt know that they made ice cream "to order" when I entered. I loved the dairy laboratory looking atmosphere. There is a giant take of liquid nitrogen in the front which is how they freeze your ice cream to order. First I thought...ow wow this is probabably a good gimmick. I dont know if it is the ingredients or the freshness or a combination of the two but it was some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten. The texture was perfect and the vanilla flavor was just the right amount. They had only four flavor that day and I dont know if that it the plan of if they will expand the menu later. The small vanilla cup was $4.75 but it was generous (4) ounces). The pint costs $11. Pricey but worth it. Good luck on the new opening.

This is mixed bag for me. Im giving it a four because the ice cream I ate was delicious. But was it "the freshest" or more delicious than other ice cream that isnt pumped out of the ceiling on demand? In my opinion, no. Because of this high maintenance process they only offer a small handful of flavors at once and the price is very high. To be honest it really did irratate me that you cant taste a thing before purchasing and that they had a sign up for a flavor that hadnt "been ready" all day. For people who like futuristic tech and very cold ice cream. Not for people who want some normal ice cream and I wouldnt recommend it for kids.

Smitten seems to be a bit more interesting and enjoyable than the Coldstone experience I had in this same building previously. Having a big tank of Nitrogen in the corner and lots of dry ice mist falling over the counter really makes this more interesting. I wish Id been able to see this when I was a kid. Anyway, the ice cream is tasty. There isnt much seating, but customer turnover is pretty fast.

I absolutely love smittens bit I havent been able to go because my parents want mint chip I am not upset but I would really appreciate if mint chip could come back but anyone that likes ice cream this is not ice cream bit the future of the creamiest ice cream in the world with exotic flavors smitten is the place for you thanks smitten for making me smitten.

This ice cream is expensive but OMG, it is worth it and there will be lines to get it. I enjoyed the chocolate with toasted almonds. This stuff was slow to melt. 1.5 scoops with the almonds was $6.75. That could have bought me a house in Kentucky!

I have been to the location in SF and this one is just as good AND its inside! I went with the standard chocolate and it was just as great as I remember it. I dont think you need to say much more about Smitten. Theyre the best at what they do.

Out of town review - Id never had nitrogen cooled ice cream before, and was a bit skeptical going in. Turned out to be some of the best ice cream Ive ever had. Great staff, fun experience watching the ice cream get made. Highly recommend.

Very limited menu at extremely high prices. We tried the cookie dough and pumpkin and the flavor was decent however the texture was pretty awesome...ill give it another shot when they have different flavors.

Possibly the best ice cream I had in my life. I had the cookie cough, with caramel ice cream. The ice cream is done right in front of you. (You can see the nitrogen tubes.)
