We are frequent customers to mangia, but I am not sure we will be again after tonight. Tonight I had the worst service I have had in a very long time, anywhere, and I eat out quite frequently. We walked in and it took about 5 minutes for us get greeted or even acknowledged and once we were seated it took another 10 to 15 minutes for us to be approached by anyone who works there. Once "greeted" by Christina our server, we ordered our drinks and meals (since it had taken so long to even have her approach our table). We sat and waited for another 30 minutes and did not receive water, our drinks or bread. Finally after all of this time had passed, Christina comes and tells our table that she forgot that they are "out of risotto". If i was a regular patron, not one allergic to gluten, this may not have been that big of a deal, but seeing as it is the only menu item i can safely enjoy and we had received horrible service thus far, we saw no reason to sit and hope to be served properly. Had the service been better, i would have just gotten a salad, but by this time, we had no drinks, my friends had no bread and were told almost an hour after arriving that they dont have what we ordered so we got up and left. I seriously cannot believe what horrible service we received when they were not even very busy. We left and went to Chow and had great service and an excellent meal. Mangia has other servers, like Monique, who are fabulous, but if Christina is any indication of future service, I will not be coming back.

This place is a hidden gem (unless youre from lamorinda) of amazing. They have the best pizza Ive ever had. Their crust is like a pillow of doughy perfection. Ive only had their pasta a hand full of times (because clearly I come here for the pizza) but its always been good when Ive had it. I moved to San Jose a few years ago and I still make sure to stop by Mangia any time Im even moderately close. The staff is awesome as well, super friendly and accommodating. They even make a point to try and remember my name. Highly recommended =)

Had an order of the Minestrone Soup bowl (~$5): carrots, zucchini, squash, chard, potatoes and pinto beans. Also had an order of the Lasagna Primavera (~$11): spinach pasta stuffed with mushrooms and mozzarella, parmigiano, & ricotta cheeses. Additionally, had an order of The Sicilian pizza w/pesto sauce(~$25): sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, red onions, and feta cheese. Food was delicious, staff was slow, and the ambiance was airy (outdoor patio).

Ive eaten inside a few times and recently gotten take out 3 times. The service has been passable to poor. The most recent time I picked up food, our order wasnt there; there was a bag mixup. Only one employee seemed to care or be genuinely apologetic (the person at the cash register). The cook staff shouted some insult at him before understanding that they needed to remake my food. Each time, the food has been mediocre, so Im done eating here.

Literally the worst service I have ever experienced. Extremely unattentive waiters, sitting around on their phones. Waited an hour just for my starter salad and ice waters, until I finally got up and asked the manager. The manager responded with extreme attitude, before saying that the salad was ready. Asked for food togo instead, agian recieved attitude. Never again. Getting a refund for my Groupon.

Family-style pizza I wanted to love it but yikes, the pizza wasnt good. Too much sauce, too little toppings, and the crust was as hard as cardboard. Points for the lovely patio and the super-friendly and helpful waiter.

Excellent pizza with creative toppings. Their garlic herb sauce is to die for and much better than your normal run of the mill tomato sauces (which they also have for the traditionalists out there).

This place is amazing. The staff were really nice and friendly, on top of that the food tasted amazing. I loved the pasta- also the pizza was really crispy. Thanks for satisfying my stomach! :)Lol

Food is OK, not super good but not bad as Well. Staff friendly. They gave the kids pizza dough to play with, on top of the standard paper and crayons to color. Kids had fun.
