Had a wonderful conversation with Martha and in many reviews they are well known for their Bolillo Bread (aka as French Bread). And who knew it was a Habsburg-Lorraine from Austria who originally brought this bread to Mexico named Maximilian I. Do try the "Bolillo" bread from La Central Bakery. We tried tamales (hand-crafted), “Pan Dulce” aka as sweet bread and empanadas filled with pineapple, custard, raspberry, cherry and apple filling and family kept asking when I am going to the bakery for more. Though unassuming at first, what is within is made with mastery of over 30 years operating in La Habra. I tried a cake pop Martha had made and she said whether you have a sweetie or not it reminds us to be good to ourselves no matter what. Great philosophy.
