I was taking a stress break from a family medical emergency. I arrived at 5 minutes before their early closing Thanksgiving Eve. I was consciously courteous because I didnt want my personal stress to fall out on the coffee girls. The barista started to tell me she wasnt going to make me coffee because of early closing but she stopped before completing her sentence. I requested their smallest cappuccino. I dropped a $3 tip in the jar as I recognized she was staying later than she wanted. After receiving my drink I popped the lid to sip the foam. I was disappointed to see the espresso had been poured over the foam, dissolving it. I took a small cautious sip as the un sleeved cup felt warmer than expected. Despite my caution I scalded my tongue and under my tongue on the overheated milk. Still painful 8 hours later. Skin on my gums is peeling. I added half and half to cool the drink. The espresso was overheated and bitter. I didnt request a do over because I could see the machine was being cleaned and if this cappuccino was bad what reason did I have to believe a do over would be better. I would have preferred the barista politely tell me no. The cappuccino was un drinkable and I dropped it in the trash on my way out. Disappointed. Wont be back.

Forget the noisy crowded tourist filled coffee shops down town- this place is my new favorite! 3 different seating areas, crepes, salads, breakfast sandwiches, and the best coffee I have ever had...consistantly. I am a Healdsburg local, and I love going down to the square, but if I have a client in town and want to meet somewhere- I know this is the place to take them. If you live in Healdsburg and havent been here- come pick up a crepe and a coffee and bring your business cards too! There is a whole shelved section where you can leave your flyers- very small business friendly. Staff and Owners are super friendly too. Enjoy!

2014.08.23: Not the cutest coffee shop ever, but a warm, spacious atmosphere and very nice folks. Both the blended mocha and the 50% off day old pastries were delicious!
