Its not so much that I disliked this particular location. The outside of the store was bright and well lit. The inside was fresh and extremely clean. With a trendy and interesting decor. In fact I cant stop thinking about the banana shake that I got there. It was the best shake that I have ever had. Thick yet creamy, perfectly balanced. I will be going back real soon just to get my shake fix : ) Nor do I have anything negative to say about the staff at the counter. They were all very friendly and very helpful. What was disappointing to me was the burger and fries that I had. they were the main reason why I was there in the first place. This last visit was only the second time that I had ever been to a Fatburger. My first Fatburger experience was 3 weeks ago, at the Fatburger right down the street from Kaiser Permanente Hospital, on Sunset Blvd. That first bite that I took out of my XXL Fatburger had me sold. It had dethroned In-N-Outs Animal Style Double-Double, as my favorite burger. Something I would not have thought possible prior to that first bite. The only problem was the distance to travel, 24 miles, in order to get my next Fatburger. Needless to say, that was not going to happen to often because of those 24 So-Cal freeway miles. So when my sister told me that there was a Fatburger less than 5 miles from my home. My mouth started salivating, like a Pavlovian dogs mouth. I couldnt wait to bite into my second Fatburger, ever. So when I got home, unwraped my burger and proceeded to finally sink my teeth into what I believed was going to be a very salacious treat for my burger. It was like I could almost hear my tongue and brain talking to each other. Saying, there must have been some mistake. Both asking Expecting to have that same, unforgettable, over the top, heavenly experience, in my mouth once again. Instead, I was left with a very disappointing taste an mouthful of hamburger relish. It was gross. I was sorely let down. I expected to have a repeat experience, like my first fat burger visit. I guess I expected the continuity at one Fatburger to be the same at another Fatburger. Much like the continuity, quality, an consistancy that you can find at In-N-Out. I believe that Fatburger should try and follow the simple business plan set forth by In-N-Out. Which is still in use today. Its possible that Fatburger, in its zealousness to grow, has lost sight of the principles by which the company was founded on. Fatburger, in my opinion, should concentrate more on the quality an consistency of their product and less on their rate of growth an the number of stores they have worldwide. Because if they dont meet an exceed their customers satisfaction an expectations. There wont be any growth or expansion for Fatburger in the future to cncern themselves with. I say this with a little tongue and cheak, because I doubt if they will take me up on my offer. Even though I am being completely serious when I say that I would love the opportunity to work for Fatburger an head up a team that would insure that the standards and practices at a store in El Monte California are identical to a store in Dubai. Because I really like the Fatburger concept an do believe that you have a good product that could be an exceptional product, universally. Think about my offer. Sincerely, Michael Armstrong

Went in the other day with the intent of purchasing a meal, but honestly , first I needed to use the Restroom. Policy /Entry requires you to FIRST order a meal item, pay, wait to receivce your food , sit it down on a table. Then and only then will the young lady buzz you in. They dididnt see a need to grant my request first nor decline to apologize for this illogical policy in place. Manager even refused to come up front and discuss this foolish behavior. Needless to say I went to nearby Subway, easily got entry and enjoyed their new Reuben sandwich. Fatburger should change their name to Fat and Dumb ____. I will never ever patronize this establishment again. Seeking the dollar first before common courtesy is their focus.

Best burger hands down. If you want fresh like you would make at home, this is it. Employees are nice and the menu is extensive. For me, Im a beef burger junkie. Not just any burger, but a fresh beef burger. My co-workers and I visit often. All fresh beef and toppings, along with the fantastic fries will leave you stuffed and ready for next time:). Ill post up photos next time Im there.

Employee attitude seemed down. The one large male employee did not wear anything on his head, violating health department rules. Otherwise, somebody must have taught the staff how to cook a Fat Burger. It was outstanding! Previous visits to this location were very disappointing. Not this time. This was the genuine article.

It was horrible we went in at around 10 oclock since the sign said "open late" and paid, turns out it was going to close.The cashier didnt even bother to tell us that they were closing!!!The burgers are so small like in n out burgers.Honestly I wouldnt comeback, never!!Its not even that good.

Was appalled prior to ordering when I entered and witnessed a cook in the back, not wearing a shirt while near the fryers & zero employees accountable at the registers -- Speechless and somewhat shocked; I walked out.

Chill joint to go to in El monte. Definitely roomy and plays radio station like 102.7 or 97.1 as their audio. Not a must place to go to in El Monte, but definitely better than other places around the area!

The burger bun was cold, the onion rings were good but just too oily. Dont think we will revisit this fat burger. Will defiantly be going back to the one in North Hollywood. That one is worth the drive.

The veggie patty is the worst of the lot. Its a Boca meatless soy patty. The burger is also expensive ringing in at $10 with a small drink and regular onion rings. Nothing to write home about.

I really wanted a refund for my sandwich because the chicken was raw. But said they could only exchange it for next time. Do I really want to go back again for the same thing? Not really. :(

I will say breakfast is cheap and is ok but their burger is terrible. I dont know if its just this location or if its the company in general but no way is that the best burger in the world!
