We have been to Sizzling Fresh many times. My kids love it and asked to go there for dinner tonight. I am not a fan of mongolian BBQ in general, and was not very hungry tonight, so when we got there I asked if I could just buy a bowl of soup. I was told "no", so I just ordered 2 childrens dinners. The kids both got very small helpings and we sat down to eat. I noticed the cashier staring at me throughout the meal, and thought maybe he was watching to see if I was eating off their meals. I did eat some of their rice and soup on the side, since they were going to waste it, but didnt touch their bowls. Anyways, the kids decided to go up for seconds, since their first bowls were so small, and half-way down the buffet line, the cashier came up to us and told me that kids cant get seconds. I was confused so he said it again and then walked away. As far as I know, this is not posted anywhere, and we have never been told this any other time weve eaten here. Maybe he was upset that I hadnt ordered an adult meal? We were made to feel very uncomfortable, so we set the bowls the kids had started down on a table and left. I wont be back to this restaurant again.

This is your run-of-the-mill mongolian bbq place. You get ingredients, hand it off to a person to cook, and you watch them cook it around this large metal plate. Here are some suggestions for first timers: pack in as much meat as possible, as most of its frozen form is air. Proceed with vegetables, then put a quarter of the amount of noodles you expected to eat (noodles are deceptive). You then proceed to douse this concoction with soy sauce, bbq sauce, garlic, etc, then hand it over. Youll then get a very hearty ratio of meat:veggies:noodles

Might be more authentic Mongolian than HuHot or BDs Mongolian which I frequented when living out east, but to my family this tasted terrible. I normally go up for 2-3 bowls at the others even though I shouldnt because it tastes so good, but here I went up for seconds because I was embarrased by how bad the first one tasted. This time I asked a worker for a flavorful but not spicy sauce combination and I followed his recommendation. This was no better than my first bowl so I eventually stopped eating even though I hate to waste food.

Come here at least 2x/week since the previous Owner. I think the new management is doing a great job. I ordered smoothies with boba today... I was disappointed because it was runny and tasteless. I mentioned it to the guy before I left. I even took photo of it. He offered to make another one but I refused. It wasnt a smoothies, it was like a milk or juice. I still come to this place and eat but I have to watch that certain guy. ( I dont want to mention his name)

Theres not much to say about Mongolian BBQ. Great selection of fresh meats and vegetables. Good sauces. The guys at the grill worked fast. The spring rolls and wonton soup are forgettable, and not sure what the bit of cardboard on the plate with the spring rolls were for. Good price ($6.95) for one-bowl lunch. Dinner is all you can eat and a different price, but I dont recall what. Will definitely go back.

I have been coming here for years. The food is good but the staff is very unfriendly and they get angry at you if you ask for a To-Go box. Personally, I always take home what I do not eat, but they will simply not let you take your un-eaten food. I asked why and he said "it ok we throw away." Many people would be discussed by how much food that they throw away. If you can, try to sneak in some Tupperware.

Those other reviews are from snobby bitches. The staff here are very friendly and the food is amazing. They ask where you would like sit, and the place is always clean. They are constantly cleaning the buffet line and refilling it. This is my favorite Mongolian bbq hands down.

They allow you to choose between one bowl or you pay $2 more to get All you can eat. You make your bowl and they cook it. They even give you extras too like rice and fried egg rolls and wonton strips. Its a good place to go. They do shut down for a hour in the afternoon.

They sat three of my friends and myself right next to the only other people in the restaurant, while it was empty. Literally within whispering distance. No seconds and rice had a piece of hair in it. The Mongolian BBQ on greenback is miles ahead of this one.

I didnt get a Togo box. Why would I spend $20 on food, then not finish it and not be able to take it home?? The guy at the register gave me an attitude when I asked for a box and was sitting there on his phone in the front of the restaurant.

Place is under new management and obviously in a transition period. You are now seated. Quality seems to have dropped just a bit. Still a decent place to get a quick bite for not a lot of money. Hopefully they will get it together.
