We had our 300-person wedding reception at Dynasty Cupertino, in the back banquet hall. It was AWESOME! LOGISTICS/SPACE: The back banquet hall fit everyone comfortably, with plenty of privacy. The shape of the room ensured that people were spread almost all the way around the head table and dance floor, making every seat a good seat. Our DJ and lighting/linen guy were both experienced working with Dynasty, which helped a lot. We also had extra room for a gift table, large full bar, photo booth, and karaoke stage. Dynasty upgraded us to the large dance floor for free. There was a private bathroom for our guests, and a decent-sized bridal changing room. FOOD: The food was delicious. Everyone (including some of my more particular in-laws) commented on how great the food was - much better than any other traditional Chinese wedding banquet theyd been to. My friends (all American) took boxes of leftovers home. STAFFING: Mr. Su was the event coordinator for Dynasty and he was great - very helpful, professional, responsive. The food was served on a good time schedule, and there appeared to be enough servers for water, etc. We provided our own bartenders. Our reception was great. I posted a few pictures to show what it looked like. Very elegant, and all we did was cover the chairs and use some amber uplights...

Dimsum here is not bad but my family mostly comes here for dinner or large events. This is the perfect place to bring a large group to eat and there is ample seating in the main dining room. Ive tried almost everything on the menu but these are the dishes that we consistently order: SEAFOOD: The smoke sea bass here is a little bit different than Sinos and is absolutely delicious. They give you a generous portion and the sea bass melts in your mouth. The honey walnut prawns here are also amazing-- fried to a perfect crisp and tossed with mayonnaise. The papaya seafood soup special is pricey ($10 for one) but the flavor is amazing! Try it once! NOODLES/RICE: If you like noodles, definitely order the braised E-Fu Noodle with fresh lobster meat. I love their honey moon fried rice which has red sauce and pork on one side and white sauce with gailan and shrimp on the other side. MEAT: If you like pork, go with the stewed pork ribs in clay pot "WUXI" style. So tender and flavorful. My Dad insists on ordering kung pao chicken everywhere. they do a decent job here. VEGGIES: dry fried string beans, sugar pea tips with garlic, braised tofu with veggies & Mushroom. FYI- There are lots of different rooms for banquets, parties, and weddings.

One of the top 3 places to get dim sum in the South Bay. Dinner is also solid, with value to be found in the set dinners. Restaurant is huge, with many private banquet rooms. They can accommodate multiple wedding banquets and still take in the regular dining crowd. Still, it is a popular restaurant and be prepared to wait for a while on the weekends for dim sum. Pro-tip: Go early or late for dim sum on the weekends. Order from the paper menu instead of waiting for the carts to come by (some items run out before they get to your table). Sometimes I feel like they try to push the more expensive "special order" items, so buyers beware. For dinner, bring a large group, start with the set dinner menu and add dishes as needed.

YUM! Really delicious dimsum (and nice tea, too), and quite inexpensive. I went here with four friends earlier today and we ate a ton (including dessert) and it came to a total of $14 per person. Service seemed fine, though Im sure (as a non-Chinese-speaking fella) I was helped by being with three Chinese friends :). Nice ambiance? Hardly! Loud, very crowded, er, like pretty much every decently-fooded dimsum place Ive been to in my life. And if I ever find a dimsum place with delicious food, not-crazy prices, and wonderful ambiance, Ill offer five stars. But hey, Ill look forward to going back to this place in the meantime :)

Ive come to Dynasty twice - once for dim sum, which was among the best Ive had in the Bay Area, probably second only to Koi Palace in Daly City (IMO), and once for a banquet dinner for Mothers Day. Both times, the food was noticeably a huge step up in terms of quality ingredients, expert preparation, and freshness. Har gao, lobster, lamb, veggies - you name it, Dynasty probably does it better. That said, this place is HUGE with two or three big seating areas. So it can feel loud and boisterous, just like a real Chinese banquet restaurant! Dynasty also has private rooms available, if you dont like being in the scrum.

Have been coming here several times a year for many years. Today, we ordered dim sum and a banquet meal for 8 people. Liked the idea of having a private room, away from the crowd and noisy. Overall, the food was okay. Some dishes were delicious, such as the walnuts shrimps, fresh steamed fish, fried rice and lobster.. Some dishes were not as good, such as the beef (way too salty), the sea cucumber, chicken feet. Not cheap, not very high CP!

A better chinese restaurant for a more western palette, Mandarin Gourmet on De Anza. Ive attended large community luncheons at Dynasty and the service has been so slow that Ive not been served most of the dishes before the event was planned to be over and I needed to be back at work. When this restaurant hosted a Chamber of Commerce event, they did not include wine with the appetizers, which is customary for Chamber hosts to do.

Not my favorite dim sum place in south bay. Food doesnt amaze me. We only come here whenever we dont want to wait. The wait time is not too bad as it is pretty big with plenty of seats. We (group of 6) came here at 11 on Saturday and didnt need to wait. It is located in a shopping mall that no one really comes... Hence parking is super easy...

Came here for dimsum with my mom. Pleased with how everything tasted. The two of us ordered way too much. I dont think anything we ordered was fantastically delicious, but neither was anything disappointing. Would definitely come again if Im in the area. Theres a lot of parking around the mall and the wait time to be seated wasnt terribly long.

Was here with family to celebrate a birthday. Traditional and old school Cantonese food was unremarkable. Fat Wongs was far and away better. Additionally, Dynasty is nestled in the corner of an all-but-abandoned shopping mall; it feels a bit sketch walking through the empty promenades to get to the restaurant; I would go elsewhere.

Attended a friends big Chinese wedding here, where they had a 10 course feast. I really liked the food, specially the sharks fin soup. But, some of the food came out cold, and it was hard to get the servers attention for drink refills. Ill probably try to go there again for breakfast, because I heard they have good dim sum there.

Dynasty is your typical Chinese restaurant with several banquet rooms which caters primarily to Chinese weddings. The food and pricing are average. Dynasty is a good location for large groups. Dynasty is connected to Valleco Mall so there is plenty of parking.

Got a private room for fiancée and my parents first meeting and were treated so poorly we would never return. Food was way overpriced. Lots of msg and horrible attitude. Definitely not a place to bring your VIPs even though the decor seems to market it.
